It's funny how everyone is riding the Rockets when they are winning. When we loose.. fans say: "We suck", "We are not as good as we thought we were", "We still need one more player", "Kobe can hit shots that TMac can't". That talk is crap. Guys.. we are going against a 60 plus win team that has been playing together under the same coach for a few years now. It's okay that we loose one game this early in the season. We are still a very good team. I still think we can beat this team. We basically hung in the game blow for blow until the final minutes. We have a lot to work on.. but I still think this team can win a champoinship. It's a long season people. Dont throw in the towel after ONE loss.. good lord!

Because the button is big and red and shiny. And the man told me not to push it. But I want to push it. It is so shiny. What could go wrong?

tmac didn't play good. the rockets defense rotations sucked tonight. end of story. doesn't mean the rockets aren't as good as we thought. they did not play good and they still were in it until the last couple of minutes.

Well the Rockets lost a game...

    PLEASE DO NOT PANIC GUYS.

I know this board is going to go crazy:
"See Rockets still aren't as good as Mavs"
"Rockets aren't gonna go anywhere in playoffs"
    "OMG CUT FRANCIS"
    "OMG TRADE SUCH AND SUCH"

Guys before all this comes just remember: We kept whole game close IN DALLAS with some iffy shooting AND a offense that is still learning a BRAND NEW System. 1 Loss means absolutely nothing. We just played @Dallas, Port, @Utah, @LA (better than we thought) and we are 3-1 and improving daily.

Please don't start making post about how "Bad" the Rockets are.

    The Dallas Dilemma
Everytime we play Dallas, I think to myself, "This is the year. This is the year we finally destroy them. I know it, and im 100% confident."

We always seem to come out strong. Shots falling. Dallas fans complaining of the horrible calls they are getting.

Then comes the dreaded 4th quarter...

I don't know how, but this Dallas team has been HAUNTING us since 2004. Our defense just collapses and you name em all, Howard, Terry, Stackhouse, Dirk, they all make their 3's like the basket is 10 feet wide. You can tell we are trying, but it just isn't working.

We chuck up shots, we turn the ball over.

As I continue watching, I have Deja Vu of every single Rockets loss to the Mavs at Dallas, like I'm watching the SC highlight of the 04-05 playoffs all over again. Rockets are tied, Dallas starts making ALL of their ft's and ALL of their 3's. Then the last dagger comes.

The 3 from dirk to seal it off.

The dreaded face of "Oh, No... Not again" comes across my face EVERY time we play the Mavs.

    I... Hate the Dallas Mavericks

Sorry, I had to let that out somewhere.

if we are improving daily, and beat a not so bad LA team, and a very good Utah team, then why not the Mavs? oh, nevermind...

ALL the negative people on the board...no one goes 82-0, we will win these games as we get more and more adjusted.

Doesn't change the fact that T-mac and Yao have been playing together for a while and should freakin learn how NOT to collapse in the fourth quarter. IT's seriously becoming this ROcket's teams MO. I just hope RA can fix it.

well we were also playing a 67 win team from last year at home. granted they had some injuries but no real key pieces missing. i can't imagine that bum dampier playing any better than diop did tonight. i thought it was a good tough game. rockets still have a lot of defensive and offensive work to do. yao is still nowhere near comfortable in this offense. but i am panicking!!!   :(

Not a bad game, tough at the end.

I'm pretty happy, we were blow for blow for a good while and we're a new team.

Jason Terry needs to die, he's too good.

I think that somehow we need to make Mike James and Bonzi Wells somewhere near the level of Jason Terry and Josh Howard to have any chance at consistently beating them, they still have a slight edge on talent. Wells and James didn't play well tonight.

Overall, not bad, tomorrow is going to suck hard as well though: Spurs on the second night of a back to back.
