Haha... so we could increase the logjam at the 3... (I figure he's a little too old to run with the 2's anymore) I don't have a problem with MJ coming back, if for no other reason than to see him be beaten. Not for his own humility, but for the rest of the league to have closure. And dang, I wish Clyde hadn't retired... I bet he can still play. Backup to Cuttino? LOL... Please? LOL....jkfl;qjakj;js.... I just read what I wrote on accident and I would like to apologize to anyone who was traumatized by "closer"... I was on crack...
If any retired Rocket were to come out of retirement, I would like to see Larry Smith. I know we couldn't expect him to score a lot or run the floor, but I bet he could bang with Shaq and Duncan. Mr. Mean... I also loved Purvis Short's moonshot three's...
I see Clyde jogging in Memorial, he looks like he stays in good shape. I also saw Smith at a restaraunt the other day, he looked to be in good shape too...
I don't think poor Clyde's knees could take the punishment even if he was to play SF. Unlike Jordan, Clyde's game was more centered on driving to the basket. While Jordan could probably do fine in the NBA with just his perimeter game and occasional drives to the basket, Clyde would struggle.
Clyde is my all time favorite player. He will never be replaced in that respect and I would love to see him in the public eye again, but some people Clyde included know when to say when. When he retired he said that he should have done it a year earlier. He is too level-headed to do anything like making an ill-advised comeback. Anyone know what he is doing these days? I would love to know.

Drexler takes Nuggets position By JONATHAN FEIGEN Copyright 2001 Houston Chronicle While Michael Jordan has taken a very different, much-publicized new position this week, former Rockets and University of Houston star Clyde Drexler also has found a new gig in the NBA. Drexler has taken a position as a consultant/aide to Denver Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe, a friend from their playing days with the Portland Trail Blazers, a source familiar with the hiring said Wednesday. While Drexler's exact title and duties have not been determined, he has been interested in obtaining NBA front-office experience since his two-year term coaching at his alma mater ended after the 1999-2000 season.
