If this is now a socialist country. So many people who picked W to be great turned on him on a dime when it was socially acceptable. Yeah, you people got your man for 8 years and he was so bad nobody could follow him..........and now all of a sudden you know who the best candidate is? IT IS UNPATRIOTIC to not support your president elect Obama and if you do not support him then you are not supporting the troops. Also I'm willing to bet any person their paycheck or life savings that this will NOT be a Socialist country at the end of his term or terms.
Seriously. Some of the stuff I've read over the past 18 hours or so has been fairly disappointing, although I guess we shouldn't be surprised given the extent to which the RNC's FUD machine has brainwashed some people.
I was laughing, then I realized how sad this is.. **** attended "the day America died" **** joined the group "Texas should secede from the union" **** is practicing to say "comrade" before everybody's name **** is moving to Canada **** is learning italian so he can move to Italy **** is ughh it's so disgusting man..not a single person from "the other" group has anything congratulating/showing support to the country, and I swear to god, so many people believe that he's a communist/dictator, and I went off on them via status comments suggesting they purchase a dictionary to look up those terms.. it's sad..especially here at A&M..
We have a socialist government already. Have for a long time, just not in the complete sense. Because you get to vote again every 2, 4, & 6 years here, and that is the beauty of America.
That is what everybody is forgetting. People have short memories. We had the same quotes from folks on the other side 4 and 8 years ago. I guess Alec Baldwin can move back to America now.
Were you saying that when all those idiots were saying "Bush isn't MY president!" 4 and 8 years ago? Blind support for anyone (which you are advocating) is stupid and dangerous. Patriotism is defined as "devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty." Where does it say "support the president no matter what"? Try doing 30 seconds of research into a word before you throw it around. Personally, I voted for McCain because he more closely agreed with my personal stance on issues. Obama got elected, and I'll live with the choice that the American public made. However, don't expect me to suddenly say, "Obama's elected, everything's going to be GREAT!" because I don't think it will. I do hope he succeeds, since a President who does well usually means the country is going in the right direction. I just don't think he has the experience needed for the job and his questionable comments and associates leaves me very cautious about where our country will be in 4 years. BTW, Obama supported defunding the troops on at least one occassion. How is not supporting him "not supporting the troops"? If anything, he's the one with the history of not supporting the troops.
me too. i love sentences that start with "im not racist, but....." if you start a sentence like that, then you're a racist.
