Why don't we sign Green?

He would be a great player for this team. Yes, it would mean waving someone (Brown?) to get him but he is a stable player.

I recommended this last year and practically got laughed off the board. He is still a decent player and a great lockerroom guy.

However, I don't think we need him as much now as we did then. I would give it some thought though.

Here's a little food for thought. Houston has long been lauded (at least two years) for their team chemistry. A.C. Green is the only 40 year old (or close to it) that openly admits that he's a virgin. Not necessarily the one that the team would like to go party with after the games like they often do. :D

We should sign Green so the Rockets and Rudy can have a designated driver at all times...:p

I don't think he claims he's a virgin, he's just an advocate for abstinence.

    From an article last year:

L.A. Lakers forward A.C. Green, 36, tours the country talking to kids about abstinence and has even developed an anti-sex curriculum for grades 6 through 12. “I’m still a virgin,” says Green. “I compare it to a steak and hamburger. I expect the best for me. So as tempting as the hamburger may look, I know there’s something better for me if I wait.”

I guess his very hairy palms are what accounts for his lack of hand injuries then, seeing how it's got to be thicker than TheFreak's back hair.

My understanding is that he wants to maintain a residence in the NY/NJ area. So he probably wouldn't be interested in playing for us even if we showed interest in him.

Didn't anybody else see Robert Horry and Rick Fox look like superstars in comparison :)?
