My speakers will play all sounds from AOL/AIM, from other internet sites, it will play MPG's, and MP3's, and from video games from a CD but when I play my audio CD, it won't play. What's wrong with it?

Probably because there is supposed to be a cable that connects your CD-ROM to the motherboard. If that cable is not present, no sound from the CD player for audio CD's.

doubleclick your speaker icon in your taskbar...look to see if anything is checked in the mute box.

or rHEAD is right and your audio cable from the cdrom to the sound card (or mobo) isnt hooked up.
