OK, someone answer this. My yahoo email account is my throwdown email account for use on the internet, and as such it catches a ton of spam. Most of it goes thru the bulk folder and down the drain without me ever seeing it. However, some make it to my inbox, and some have subject lines catchy enough to get me to look. I've noticed a number of them use a string of words or phrases unrelated to the subject that make no sense, like this: welfare, Treaties and form the by including happen you range u national This Departmental but them Service statements many review (sometimes latter topics definition. Stephen be includes this Instruments tellin Believe House website. form website Majesty's Love an Miracles Treaties described she These saw fact expressions what two self Green . your u Stationery Sir House also has these this this aid Report party, Commons found tellin better is things principal range There as best Statement may The they you of u House will the life economy, Majesty". "Green" emerging that White their an The is on **** this welfare, What purpose does this serve? Is it to beat the spam filters?
My guess would be that Yahoo! sends emails that are identical to thousands of users to the bulk folder. By having a random paragraph with them, the emails would not be identical. Just a guess.
Speaking of which .....I am getting alot of Spam thats hard to block because the actual advertisement is a JPEG or picture. So there aren't any words to filter and of course, the sending email addy changes. Any suggestions?
Me too. I purchase vitamins over the internet. Now for some reason I am getting vitamin emails as well as Viagra.
One way to filter spam is by searching for words that are common to spam emails. If there is a high percentage of those words, the email gets marked as spam. The email you got is putting in non-spam word to raise its rating and get through the filter.
I love spam! Thanks to spam, I have boxes of generic Viagra, several lucrative Nigerian business investments (don't tell anybody!) and my penis has grown ten inches over the past year alone! Spam rocks! !!
Code: Hello! Viagra is the #1 med to struggle with mens' erectile dysfunction. Like one jokes sais, it is strong enough for a man, but made for a woman ;-) Ordering Viaqra onIine is a very convinient ,fast and secure way! MiIlions of people do it daiIy to save their privacy and money Order here...
Look to the headers. Fake Subjects, Message-IDs and senders are easy to filter on. You could also eliminate everything from China, Korea, Russia, The Czech Republic, and so forth...
lol. anyway, maybe its cuz they want to freak people out with the randomly worded demented paragraphs.
<Fooz> In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penises, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship. - http://bash.org/?203815
