This can be moved to dish, but I figured with the way this team is now, it fits in perfectly here + the specific people I am talking about.

Jordan Hill, Thabeet, Twill, were all top 11 picks just 2 years ago. None of them have been given significant minutes in the NBA to really make a real judgment, and reading through their NBA Draft Bios, every single one of them were "Raw" coming out of college, so teams should've expected developing to occur, but instead they give up on them without even giving them a fair chance.

I'd understand had they gotten significant minutes and gotten beat up and shown to be worthless (aka Kwame Brown, Candyman, players like this).

I'm not saying any of them will become GREAT or even GOOD because I have no idea, but it seems like had we got all these players 2 years ago, Morey would be considered GOD, but since he got them now, all of a sudden it is no longer good.

Jury still out on Thabeet and Twill. Hill has had more playing time and appears to be certain to have a low basketball IQ. He may improve to good backup status one day though. Twill had a track record of being good for a good part of a season. So he is unknown. Thabeet is young, no playing time, and unknown.

Yea I understand that, I was just saying they are given up on so fast.

Twill probably brought it upon himself making bad decisions in NJ, but Hill was given up on after 1 season getting like 8 min a game, and Thabeet in 2 seasons with the same low minutes.

If you aren't going to even give them a chance, why draft based on potential?

When they get to play significant minutes for a reasonable period and they fail to produce. A lot of things can trigger it, though: (1) being drafted by a bad team where they expect you to be a part of their future, (2) being drafted by a good team, stuck on the bench then getting traded to a bad team with the same expectations as (1), (3) your rookie contract expiring and you sign with a team where you'll play heavy minutes etc.

Also sometimes they just get in the doghouse and never able to get out. This seems to be what has happened during Anthony Randolph's career pretty much.

come on, i am so over "potential" talk! and you know what i think DM has build the bad reputation around the GMs in the NBA.

Let's be honest, GMs in the NBA is all about relationship. Those guys are old school. Jazz-Net trade proved it. I think most of GMs hate DM's " little smart".
So, i made my point, with DM as rocket GM, we can't build a champion team.
