Why does Lowry think he's a 3pt shooter?

He's taking way too many threes lately. Wins, losses. IT DOES NOT MATTER. He is jacking up a high number of shots and only making a small handful of them. Please. Please do not tell me Lowry is taking PG lessons from Rafer Alston. :(

Lowry is so much more effective when he takes GOOD-quality shots. Not randomly jacking up heat checks. Some of them don't even seem to be in rhythm with the flow of the game.

I honestly hope Lowry comes to his senses. Rafer Alston part 2... ugh.

its because none of our current point has any IQ. One cant make a shot to save his life but continues to think he has the green light. The other is USELESS if his shot isnt falling. ISH has more potential than both AB and KYLE. Find a decent big man, ship Jhill out of here and develop Ish instead. AB and/or kyle can go.

His jumper going good for that short stretch is hurting us now.

What happened to the Lowry that was getting Rondo-like numbers earlier in the season? Where did he go? :(

I don't think he is taking too many. He made 1 of 2 tonight, and he's making about 37% for the year. Martin, Miller, Brooks, Battier, and Budinger all shoot 3pt shots more often than Lowry, so I don't see it as a problem.

Kyle right now is having a career season from the arc. His 3pt percentage has increased by almost 10%.

Kyle Lowry is having a decent percentage from the 3. Sure, he's not that smooth, but he's 46-126 at a .365 clip. That's much better than Brooks' .333 percentage from the 3. I know Aaron Brooks is one of the smoothest guys in the division, and he really look like he can light it up, but he is not a good shooter this year based on stats.

Kyle Lowry please keep on taking 3's.

When the defense denies us of running the play we were going for or the play otherwise breaks down, Lowry is often left with the ball with only seconds to shoot.

Shooting off the dribble threes is just not his strength. When in rhythm and feet set, I would guess he is shooting >40% from the three.

Unfortunately, Aaron Brooks is only shooting .337 from 3 (and that's before this night's bricking). That's really bad for this team since he is about the only guy with the skillset to shoot off the dribble broken play jumpshots and he hasn't delivered as expected.

We need another playmaker, hopefully a wing player with some d. Pairing Brooks and Lowry might work for stretches, but probably not overall.

I said it during his hot streak...he had a mental high from getting a green light and it was going to wear off and go back to "normal". Well it's back.

Last two games he's had ZERO free throws. Not even attempted. The game prior to that he was 2 for 2. That's 2 attempts over the last 100 minutes of basketball. Not sure what the issue is, but he's not being as aggressive to the rim as he's capable of.

How many of those three's were insignificant, I swear Kyle either got lucky with a buzzer beater or an insignificant 3. He really does light it up for those last second rallies that are always too little too late.

AB is looking more like Rafer than lowry.

At least Lowry goes to the basket.

    AB Chucks.

    Better late than never, lol

but seriously, you say his 3's aren't meaningful. but are our wins any meaningful? are there any difference between lowry getting 5 for 8 3's and us winning 43 games and missing the playoffs?

whenever lowry has a big game, we win. lowry's 3's can't ALL be garbage 3's.

if anything, it helps to develop his shooting for next year when the wins will actually be meaningful.

The team period is and always has taken too many three point shots when there are higher percentage shots available. Like tonight, i saw Brooks alone in the 4rth take about 2 three point shots that he could have easily converted into two.

I don't know, but that is obviously not his game. Better for him to drive, dish, or then shoot.

lowry's 3pt shooting isn't the problem. what we need is that...that...what's that thing I called? I can't remember, it's been so long...oh yeah, defense. We need one of those defense things.
