Why does Bootsy Collins throw the hook'em horns

Just got back from a show. His whole band does this. I've seen him like 6 times with George Clinton and never saw this.

It was a little hard for me to cheer for my favorite bass player when his whole band was throwing the hook 'em horns.

Yeah, and all y'all UT fans are not going to get a Rice grad to convert...don't try.
