I mean here we are with big houses and 4 cars whereas many muslims are in a poor situation. The fact they see no way out. Same reason why some Christians hate Muslim countries, and why most hatred exists period - fear of difference.
Because we're wired to hate SOMEBODY and America has been involved in many vexing incidents in the Middle East. I have a theory though...eventually racism will disappear when either the human race encounters extraterrestrials or creates a subset of clones; either way, something even more different then the races that divide us. Kinda like how the whole Protestant vs Catholic thing is almost irrelevant in America now that we have black vs white and etc.
Not sure, but all the Indian guys (from India) here at work hate America. At every opportunity they will trash the US. Then speak of India as some sweet oasis. It's almost comical. They're working here on a visa and save every penny to send home. Yet this is land of the devil.
I'm not so sure about that. I've never really heard of any Christians hating buddhists or hindu. It's typically only Muslims.
I wonder the same thing too. It's not like they have resources that a certain sector of our government wants. I mean we've even suggested who their political leaders should be. Why would they trash our help? Actually, I vote 2 and 6 also. Once the American politicians are done with their bullying, it's easy for a native aspiring to be a leader to rise and speak out against america and brainwash their followers.
I have heard them talk distastefully about those other religions, maybe not the same level they do Muslims but it is there.
That's because anyone who "hates" usually doesn't know the difference between a Hindu or a Muslim - they are all the same to them.
Take it from a muslim, there is hate everywhere from Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, and all. We just have to do our best to relinquish the hate.
One of the biggest problem is many of the muslim nations do not look for ways to improve the lifes of its citizens but instead look for scape goats on why they are not doing well.
I remember reading something by one of the early members of the Muslim Brotherhood who visited America in the 1920's and decided it was a moral responsibility to hate America for really banal reasons, things like men and women mixing together in public, women showing their knees and dancing to music, etc. So I truly believe that some of it is just hate of what is different or discomfort at unfamiliar ways. And of course, I think that is a knife which cuts in both directions. That having been said, I think there is a bit of "Yankees Fan Syndrome". Yankees fans seem to believe that their team wins based on merit, rather than the fact that geography gives them the biggest payroll which lets them do things no other team can. This is incredibly obnoxious to non Yankee fans who believe that their team would be better if the playing field were level, and wish that the Yankee fans would recognize that they enter the season with an advantage. Around the world, I think many people view the USA as the NY Yankees.
Sounds like you are referring to Sayyid Qutb, the ideological patriarch of Islamic radicalism, though his visit to the states came in the late 40's. As for the poll, I picked "because they are just evil."
