Pedestrian dead after he's struck on I-45. A man was killed after he was hit by two vehicles as he tried to walk across the North Freeway Friday night, authorities said. The unidentified man was attempting to walk across the 4900 block of the North Freeway around 8 p.m. when he was struck by a black Ford F150 pickup truck traveling north before also being hit by a white Ford Taurus, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identification is pending an autopsy. Both drivers stopped and called authorities after the crash. Authorities said the driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries. To get to the other side. Duh. Seriously, though, I don't think people realize how fast cars moving 55-75mph are going. I see a lot of people drive/merge onto highways/interstates at slow speeds with cars zipping by at 60+ mph. It's as if they can't judge speed.
The kind of people who can't find a used car in Houston freaking Texas, or afford a $30 (still?) monthly pass from Metro.
Have yall noticed the fences on the Beltway between 59 and like Bissonnett? It's cause morons from the apartments would cross the freeway to get to Auchans now Foodtown.
Auchans, LOL.... I use to buy my screw tapes and CD's from there.. It's a foodtown now??? Do they still have that Chinese fast food place right in front of the check out lanes???
