Why didn't we go after Miller?

Reggie Miller still unsigned wouldn't have been the perfect fit, but he would gave another great option. If we were so set on getting an outside threat like Piatkowski, why not go after the greatest in NBA history.

Cause he's old, isn't the same player that he used to be, and I'm sure that he would have cost more than Piatkowski...

At this age I'm pretty sure he will be more effective than Pike, plus I see him getting a 2-year $11 million deal. Not too outtrageous.

Did you see him in the playoffs? He sucked.

I just don't think he likes playing second fiddle any more.

from what experts and such say, it's pretty much all but certain he's going to be in indiana again (or failing that going to a contender). i don't think he'd sign with us unless we just blew away whatever offer indy was making (which i haven't heard of yet).

Reggie Miller is not a complimentary player. He is the type of player an offense is centered around creating shots for. Each time down the floor he comes off double and triple picks working to give him open shots. He would do nothing here seeing as how there would probably be at least 3 more talented players on the floor through whom the offense would be run. If he were a spot up shooter I would say go for it (although we allready have Rice and Pitka) but he is a player that shoots best when coming off of screens and frankly, it would be a waste of his talent.

We could only offer the mce, for 2 years, it would been 10.29 million. Now we could have done what Toronto did with Dream and pay a third year that Reggie had no intention of playing, but as far as I know, Indy is paying him for 2 years when he only plans to play 1 more.

How do you know we have not gone after him already? Because no news outlet or BBS insider has revealed that yet? Do we really know how many players the Rockets fromoffice have already contacted or extended an offer to?
