I know Luther isn't the best player, but I always thought he showed lots of great potential. There were times in the past where the Rockets almost depended on him to shoot clutch 3 pointers, and actually ran inbound plays for him. I'm surprised he didn't get much preseason play time to at least show what he can do. Wafer and Strawberry have got tons of time, I think Luther at least deserves a chance to show Adelman waht he can do, and then let Adelman decide which of those 3 guards is best for the team. It saddens me to see Luther cheering from the sidelines for his beloved team, when he may be on the brink of not making the team.
Luther will make the roster of one NBA team. He has decent trade value; so he either stays with Rockets or gets traded.
Everyone knows Luther can do, including other teams. The Rockets wanted to give more minutes to Wafer and Strawberry, because they're the unknowns who are fighting to make the team.
Look at the minutes last season. Every player that played as much as Luther has sat significantly as well. Pre-season is about evaluating talent and and seeing where the pieces fit. Luther is one dimensional and we know where he fits. Wiith so much "Trade Luther" talk going around, i personally would rather trade SF3. We've already given away last season's best three-point shooter away for table scraps, I'd hate to see it happen again.
Are you talking about Novak? if you are, then Novak had no place on our team. he hit 3s. He can't play defense, rebound or block shots. He's not athletic either.
They're competing for Kirk Snyder's role from last season. I don't think Head will stick by season's end anyway. Do the Rockets keep Head and Hayes or opt for $10 million in profit give or take?
As morey has reached an agreement with another GM on a trade involving head, he should keep head healthy before the trade was officially excuted. Don't expect morey to trade head for more than a sencond round pick even though money has kind of magic, just because luther is not worth more than a second rounder.
I think she sprung a leak. Nah: I just shouldn't say things like that, but I couldn't resist. My Bad! I apologize DD, before you even say anything.
I think it is the wine....and you are right......I am cranky.....ready for the season to start. Crank it it up baby !!!! DD
Luther has a injured ankle. the thing is adelman seems to really like him. the problem with luther is he is a shooter. but even then he is streaky. ideally you want you're Point to have at the very minimum above average handles. he dosent. you want you're pg to have above Average court vision. he certianly dosent have that. if you try him at the 2 guard he is to small. he also has no in between game. its either 3's or crazy layups that usually result in turnovers or bricks.
