Why did they fire Ann Courry??

    That was kinda really sad...I dont know why i would still remain with NBC...i would really hope that someone somewhere...offers her a chance to get something better...

    The Today show has just become garbage...the content...substance...all that is why ratings are down...its just boring...Ann did her best to make boring stuff...watchable...

    Wish Ann the best...and thank you for your excellent service in Journalism...

    I agree. It came down to ratings.

    Whoever replaces her will have big shoes to fill. Any ideas? Katie maybe?

    I haven't watched Today in a while, but when I did, serious Ann Curry interviews were unwatchable.

    Their ratings have been steadily declining since she replaced Katie Couric. I personally thought she was great and watched Today because of her and Matt Lauer.

    Never actually seen her on the show since they promoted her, but i remember thinking she didn't seem right for the job...not surprised.

    I agree 100%. Before I heard they were going to replace her, I was thinking that she wasn't really a good fit.

    I dont feel bad for her either, but just to clarify she didnt get paid $10M in a buyout, they signed her to a $10M contract originally and she is just being reassigned to some other role.

    She was asking for a $20M buyout to leave NBC, which they didnt agree. I personally never liked her interviews, but apparently Matt Lauer was the main reason she was "reassigned".

    I read that Natalie Morales is pissed that she is being passed up for the co-anchor role again. Supposedly Guthrie is going to replace Curry.

    I haven't watched Today in years. I watch Good Morning America. Much better.

    I like Ann, but she just didn't have the right kind of personality for a morning show.

    Matt Lauer is the one who needs to get booted out.
