I think coach JVG made about 5m a year and coach RA is only 3m a year. I overheard some NBA analysts said coach JVG is exapnsive or not cheap. Why is that? Is this because JVG is from NY (a more expansive place to live) or because JVG is younger or better or because Mr. A. is cheap?

Adelman made more than JVG when he's with the Kings. He was among the highest paid coach in NBA. I couldnt find the number now but I think it was 6-7 millions per year in his last 3 years.

Is Adelman really making 3 millions right now? Where do you get the number? Well, if this is true, then it's a good deal for the Rockets. Maybe Adelman thinks it's a good situation for him and he doesnt care about the number anymore. He's rich anyway.

Maybe this explains why he's only doing half his job.

Tombstone of Jeff Van Gundy: Hard work is not enough.

Tombstone of Rick Adelman: Hard work is not required.

If the Rockets cant dunk, cant finish layups, cant drive, cant hit open jumpers, cant hit FTs, I dont know what a coach can do.

Adelman is not doing half his job. Adelman is a competitive person and he wants to win. He still looks the same to me and he knows how to win.
In this League, luck dont make you a top 10 coach in win% of regular seasons with more than 750 wins. It's just a different work style.

I will only measure Adelman's job by the Rockets' playoffs performance. I have all the confidence in Adelman that he will put this team together and get to the playoffs and pass 1st round.

Are we talking about a bike seat or shoes?

If the shoes are so comfortable, why wouldn't you want to stand up.

I bet you're not in marketing right

btw, I understand RA prefers to sit than stand in contrast to JVG, but that does not reverse my comments above^^

An insight that can apply to both JVG and Adelman.
