According to ESPN NEWS earlier today. The Magic and Rockets worked a deal out and he said he didnt want to go to Houston. Instead choosing to go to Miami. I have read the other Outlaw posts, but I didnt see an answer as to WHY he didnt want to come here? I thought he liked Houston and Rudy, etc.. Anyone know?

CD was on 610 this afternoon. Rich and Charlie asked him about that rumor (Outlaw turning down Houston), and CD said it was news to him.

That maybe good news Freak. Maybe he hasn't turned down Houston and is still considering his options, well lets hope so anyway.

Or, it could mean that the Rocks and Magic haven't even discussed a trade. [IMG]

On the other hand, could Langhi's promise and relative similarity to Walt Williams mean the Rocks can afford to deal the Wizard, and make room for the more defensive-minded, perimeter-deficient Outlaw? I think Langhi no doubt has the ability to take over from where Walt left off last season, but until he plays in an actual NBA game, the jury is still out, IMO.

IF the Rocks and Magic DID agree to a trade I wonder what players were involved? I know that the Magic need a Center, so maybe Cato? just thinking outloud...
Anyway, even though he is a good player I dont know if Outlaw is really what we need. And dont ask me what we need, because I dont know that either! If I did then I would be a GM. [IMG]

Cato isn't on the trading block. Hakeem isn't a lock as the starting C and I doubt he would be able to play the whole season. Who would we use for a starter in fact back-up if Hakeem is injured or needs a rest. Cato wont be traded!

Cato is a top ten center, when he is healthy, because of his defense. He is underpaid compared to the other centers, and that is why many teams would like Cato to patrol the paint for them. I hope Kelvin is with the Rockets for many years, because I think he compliments Stevie and Cat very well.

I will bet that we have a PF coming in exchange for the trade exception.
