I spent 30 minutes last night watching Sport Center waiting for some cool Rox highlights... Unfortunately all I got was 2 highlights of Marbury missing FT's and Yao's dunk... Then they proceeded to show a long sequence of Spurs Vs BULLS(?) highlights??!?! Spurs vs Bulls?!?! Who cares about spurs vs bulls?
Agreed. Then I watched nba tonight expecting something more and got dissed even worse. That was a joke. But with the NCAA I can forgive them., That was the big story.
I mean.....God. They spent like 30 seconds on the Rockets/Suns game. And it was a pretty important game. It's a waste to even watch Sportscenter. They go from Golf to Tennis to Basketball to Baseball to Tennis to Football to Baseball to Basketball. They don't care about the Rockets. That's why it's going to be great when the Rockets have their own network!!! I mean....that was a very big game. And there were many good dunks and blocks and highlights. All they showed was Marbury missing free throws.... Local news is better.
Yeah, who cares about the Spurs. They are only one of the contenders for the NBA championship. And Tim Duncan got hurt, but he's not really that good, right? One thing about sports fans, they usually think they are the victims of something. Even Yankees fans probably think they are getting the shaft somehow.
i'll tell you why the rox don't get any respect. it's b/c Yao Ming is making them look like chumps. they were dissing him all season and were on the amare for ROY bandwagon. now that Ming clearly ran away with the award last night, making clutch baskets and free throws, while amare was bricking his, they don't want to look like fools. and thus by showing one or two highlights, they save face....sort of.
It was the big Dallas/Sac game that did it. Anytime we have a big game the same day as those guys...we always get left out. Thats alright though..THEY"LL BE SORRY.....TEHY'LL ALL BE SORRY...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I missed the NBA 2night show last night, and was wondering what Sean Elliot and the bunch were saying after we beat the Suns and took in all accounts a 2 game lead on them. If anybody saw the game let me know
I agree, I mean come on is it really that important to give 2-3mins to the spurs for beating one of the worst teams on the east. It wasn't even a close game. Were they expected to lose? Did Duncan get 50pts and a triple double? What was it than that made it so great to have gotten so much time on the air? They acted like it was a decisive playoff game. The Kings and Mavs game was important. The Rockets might not have been up to that but ROY battle between Amare and Yao is much more interesting to the Fans than the Bulls vs. Spurs. I guess next time when the spurs play Memphis or some other low team they are going to continue saying things like Duncan gets his avg in pts and rebs, and Robinson hits half his 8 shots WOW. Stupid damn sport shows.
we should send emails to some ESPN brass and complain about SC. I Never liked it either because they switch around to diff sports much and never show the good stuff. Personally, I don't know why the hell noone covered the game on tv (suns vs rox). Then you turn around and you see the Nets, wizards, knicks, lakers, kings all over the TV.
Yeah, it's really relevant who is going to get the 8th seed. I'm just happy you guys don't run Sportscenter.
seems like they talk a lot about the battle for the last playoff spot over in the eastern conference. always updating the race between the bucks, wizards, magic, etc. The west is the best conference, and it's just sad that they only showed 2 highlights for this game. it was important for multiple reasons.
Course not, we love watching No. 3 seed in the much better WC blow out what's among the worst teams in the league.
I know the feeling, you have to sit through these idiot sportscenter anchors trying to show off how funny and hip they are with their jokes and quoting rap songs right in the middle of the highlights, and then all they show of the game last night is Scarbery shooting his backboard freethrows.
