I know most of you want CB4 ,,, But why wouldn't the rockets go after LeBron James. If the Cavs don't win it all this year He won't be going back to Cleveland. I don't believe the Nicks, Nets and even bulls are any closer to a championship than the Rockets are. Yao Ming= 1.4 Billion Chinese fans = lots of LeBron's Rockets Jerseys with the new number he picks.. If the Rockets get lucky and end up with a high lottery pick, plus any combination of current players not named Scola or Yao and their current Picks from the Knicks : I see sign & trade with Cleveland a possibility. The cavs will be in rebuilding mode if King James Leave. Let's go Rockets , let's pull the ultimate free agent signing and make all of our nemesis ( jazz, spurs, mavericks and lakers ) go into panic mode and Make David Stern Love the rockets for once...
    " hey, it doesn't hurt to dream a little " .. :)

By the way, I don't believe for one second that LeBron James is not on Daryl Morey's wish list.

Because there's no conceivable way we can afford him... until he's old and retired... or unless we completely gut the team (probably including Yao).

ok I agree with your response somewhat , But what if LeBron goes to Cleveland and says he wants to go to Houston ? He's a free agent right just like CB4.. Cleveland would have to sign & trade with Rockets. Yao has one year left, Shane and Jeffries are the other 2 players making big money so why can't it work.. So if Daryl Morey goes to Les Alexander and tells him " LeBron wants to come to Houston " ,, you mean to tell me that there's no conceivable way to afford him even after trading Shane or Ariza along with Jeffries with some of the young talent plus picks ??

Houston tried to get a premier player a while back named T-Mac ...rest is history. I think Bosh is a valid option for the Rockets , Lebron would leave Cleveland to go to NYC not Houston where people dont even show up to games in the first few mins of the game . Let's admit it people , the lower bowl doesnt exactly scream passionate fans in the game. But i know i will get some hate for speaking the truth . Lebron will only leave Cleveland for two possible destinations or combining forces with another great elite superstar.

If Lebron wants to come to H-town then he will be here but highly doubt it. Lebron, either, wants to bring his home state a title or be an icon in NY. Chicago might have an outside chance with the Jordan Legacy but I don't think he would do it just for that.

    Truth.

Houston fans really are terrible. Mad Max was the only player to have the guts to speak up about it from what I remember. "Houston fans suck" is pretty much what he said.

You pay for tickets, go to the damn game. And watch the whole thing. And stand up and cheer. it's sad that fans have to be reminded of this.

Of course we can afford him. Its called a sign & trade.

But in the end I don't consider this a possibility since I don't think he wants to come here...

I dont know about the salaries matching, but the cavs would want almost the whole team in exchange, and leave the rockets like the cavs with only him you had to trade, like: Yao, Scola, battier or ariza, brooks, martin, hayes or hill

Not really. Hill, our lottery pick and the Knicks swap/pick, and our own 2012 first round is already a whopping total of 5 lottery picks for Lebron. Just add some pieces like Jeffries, Battier, Ariza and Budinger and that's a pretty good package IMHO.

I think it's more a Toyota Center problem then a fan problem. I have been to games both in the lower bowl and up in the rafters. In the lower bowl, yes, the fans suck. Up in the rafters, however, they are loud and proud. The problem is all the lower bowl tickets are bought up by rich companies and groups and given out to fair-weather fans (who often don't even show up).

Hmmmmm.... I propose ALL playoff tickets are 20$ and first come first serve as far as seating. That will fix the problem.

Stop Blaming the Houston Fans for poor attendance ... It's called winning my friends; if you win they will come.. Take a good look at Minute Maid Park, what do you think it's happening there ? bad management, bad owner and Not One Super Star on the team; oh and please don't tell Roy O' and Berkman are Super Stars because they're not.

With the Rockets is a little bit different though; the Rockets have one of the Best Owners in the NBA. They also have a young smart GM and overall great arena and management. The problem with the rockets has not been Star Power; their Super Stars simply keep getting hurt simple as that.

The Rockets fans are not horrible fans as most of you describe them. Traditionally the Rockets are a very low starting team. The Rockets almost never jump to big leads and often have to play very close games or from behind so that's why most of the fans that attend the Toyota Center take their sweet time getting to their seats.

Now you tell me this: If the Rockets miraculously landed Lebron James , Playing along side Yao , Scola, Kevin Martin and Ariza What do you think the attendance would be like, would everybody be on their seats at the time of tip-off ?? Hell Yeah !!!!

The Cavaliers sell out every single game and all their fans go to the games ... I wonder why that is ???
What do you think it's gonna happen to the Cavs attendance when Lebron leaves ?
They sell out and pack the Arena due to their Super Star Lebron James and.

** come on , don't tell me the Rockets Cannot go after LeBron , Sign and Trade with the Cavs..... Luxury Tax= No Problem with Les Alexander; he wants to win and make money in the process.. someone show this post to Drayton and Bob McNair **

Point taken, but bad example. Mad Max was the only player to have the guts to choke a fan, knowingly infect a woman with herpes, snort coke before a game, fake injuries to quit on the team, etc.

i dont understand why people keep saying we cant afford lebron, but we can afford bosh. theyve been in the league the same amount of time, and they are both getting the MAX. if lebrons max is more than bosh's, then cb4 isnt really getting a max contract.

someone please enlighten me on how lebron will cost more than bosh.

I don't understand this can't-afford-Lebron thing either. The Cavs are the bear and Morey's laced up our running shoes. We don't have to outrun the bear, we just have to outrun the Knicks. And, we can. Affording isn't a significant problem. The only trouble is if Lebron would want to come to Houston. I don't think he would, and we don't want to waste our time courting a player who won't want to come when we can spend it courting someone who would want to if we'd just ask -- but who would go elsewhere if someone expressed more interest than we did.

 He's so out of shape he'd have a heart-attack on the first possession. He should stay in retirement.
