I can understand if there are a lot of time, but when you are already late for work? This morning I messed up the alarm snooze by pressing on/off button, so get up at 7:40 instead of 7:00. I was ready to go in 4 min including brushing teeth and breakfast(Cheese Cake). My wife still takes 15 minutes and she says she was very quick! :D Why cann't woman just be faster in the morning?

This morning I get up at 6:50 (earlier than usual). I jump in the shower and do my morning thing and then when I'm almost finished, I get a wrapping on the door.

    "Are you almost done?"

I thought she had already left for work. Obviously, this means that she is running late and I therefore am prized with the gratuitous sneer.

Had I waited 5 minutes, I would have been 30 minutes behind.

I cannot understand why she has changed her time to conflict with mine. I hate getting a late start. It screws up breakfast and getting to work on time.

I'm think of waking up at 6:30 and just grace her with added morning presence. She'll get back on track.;)

    15 mins is nothing

at night, i take a shower, shave and dress for bed in less time than it takes my wife to dry her hair

she takes about an hour to hour 1/2 (depending on if she is reading) to get ready for bed, and another 45 mins in the morning to get ready to go to work

I'm sure women will be quick to blame men, who's shallowness and inability to look at a woman's inner beauty force them to spend an hour putting on makeup and fixing their hair just to visually please their male co-workers...:D

Just pray that our women posters don't start a thread entitled, "Why are men so fast getting ..."

Good man. In my house I usually get ready faster than my husband and that includes my getting our 20 month old ready too. But really, there are alot of obvious factors....make-up......hair (usually more of it and more styling involved) and most women have to blowdry their hair which tacks on at least 10 minutes right there.

Well, I was going to, except it was going to start out like "Why are men so fast getting..." but the rest of that sentence would not have been "ready in the morning." If you know what I mean. But I've already started threads on that one. :D

Assuming I took my shower at night, I can get ready in about 15 minutes. But that's assuming that I take breakfast with me, had everything all laid out and prepared, etc. I'm not a morning person and I'm too sleepy to do it very fast no matter what. If I want more time to wake up, it's best to allow closer to 30 minutes.

I don't do a lot of the high-maintenance stuff; usually I don't do makeup, and I pull my hair into a scrunchie and worry about it later. Deciding what to wear isn't always easy, especially finding all the clothes and putting them together. (if I'm going to work, that is... if I'm not, I'll just grab jeans and the first T-shirt I see)

You think 15 minutes is slow, pirc1?

15 minutes for a woman is light speed.

I lived with a woman for years who would take Two Hours to get ready every day. It drove me nuts when I had to wait on her.

My wife takes 30 minutes to get ready from shower to finish, and I'm glad for it.

I guess it's more of a ritual than a function for alot of women, but hey, I don't pretend to understand them.

Be thankful that it's 15 minutes, bud.

Please. My wife and I are late so often because she takes so long. I have to LIE TO HER about when we have to leave.

Like if friends say they will meet us a 1:00, I tell her that we have to be there at 11:30 am.

    Sometimes it actually works.

This morning I woke up 10 minutes before class. It was a five minute walk and I got there with two minutes to spare. Bathroom, shirt, pants, out the door.

I take roughly 45 minutes every morning, and I'm a guy. Take around 30 minutes if I'm "in a hurry".

I get up at 6:15 and leave by 7:00, that includes walking the dog, shower, shave, and getting dressed.

Walking the dog really means walking my labrador around the block.

When I toured with my old band, the two female members always took forever to get ready - even if we were going to spend all day in the van driving. A couple of close calls (i.e. we drove all day and showed up 15 minutes before we were set to go on stage) did nothing to dissuade them from their morning rituals. Eventually, the rest of us learned to pack up the van while they got ready.

Can't complain though - without the girls, we probably would never have sold any t-shirts. It always helps to have a pretty girl or two manning the merch tables.

from the time i wake up, it usually takes me about 15 minutes to shake the cobwebs out, check my emails, brush teeth, get dressed, and get stuff together. maybe i check the board real quick.

on the mornings when i somehow miss the alarm clock and wake up about 20 minutes before class, which it take 20 minutes to drive to, i can be out the door in 2 minutes (including brushing my teeth and maybe even getting 10 seconds in with the listerine) if i have to. i'm usually a lot more alert on the drive then thanks to the adrenaline that's flowing.
