    why are we so excited?

what makes you cringe for 2008-2009 season to start?

Why are we so eager for waiting the team's first game?

Just share clutch residence so we could have discussion as we are numbering
the days before the season and even training camp starts...

    for me:

    1st,

I want to see the line up of our Big three together on the floor..

I am also excited to see the team healthy!

    GodSpeed Rockets!

    1) Scola, improved over his NBA rookie debut (are you kidding did you watch the Olympics!!)

    2) Artest (not only what he brings in himself, but what he does for yao and Tmac ((rest rest rest))

    3) Yao's return (let us hope for 100 percent on that foot, thanks for finding it early)

    4) Adelman, 2nd year, players should know his routine a bit better.

    5) Did I mention rest (reduced minutes)

    6) GET RED

Add the addition of Barry and a healthy and improved Francis to that list

2)Want to see what Francis got left in the tank

    3) Want to see if we improve and run Adelman's offense more or not

I dont think you should judge scola's development on the olympics. I mean yeah it was great to see him, but lets not get too excited, Ill wait to see how he plays his second year around NBA rules and NBA defenses.

    1) because we are fans , thats what we do .
    2) a team that had the 2nd longest winning streak ever is back and well looks to be improved.
    3) potential of what this team could be and become by the time the playoffs come.
    4) the west is stronger and the nba is getting better every year . we are a contender and cant wait for the season to start.

    New Big Three
    Scola
Francis (that would put the icing on the cake if he can do SOMETHING)

Personally I can not wait to see Artest, Battier and Hayes on the floor at the same time wreaking havoc on the defensive end.

Well you see we did quite well last season, especially when you consider the circumstances which hindered that success, mainly injuries. Now we come to what will be considered as a new beginning for the Houston Rockets. It has been a long time since we had four players on our roster who are self starters! Now we have four great players who all have NBA experience and have the ability to take over a game on their up days.
Namely Yao Ming, Scola, T Mac and Ron Ron. This should enable the team to never have less than two of them on the court at any one time. So the up tempo level of point production shouldn't ever drop off.
Enough of this!!! Let's get to the Defence, which in recent years, has been one of the strong aspects of our team.
    Strong one on one defenders
( when they make up their mind to make the effort to do so)
T Mac, especially when he plays in the Guard Position,
    Yao Ming in the paint,
    Battier on the perimeter,
Chuch Hayes when he is playing someone his own size,
Berry on Guards and Small Forwards,
Ron Ron all over the court, even better than Battier and that's saying something!! ;)
So possibly we could be the best team in the NBA especially when you realize that I haven't yet mentioned players like Landry, Dorsey and Alston and the rest of our roster.
Outside of the Rocket's supporters basketball fans have not yet come to a just conclusion about our team, we are in fact the DARK HORSE.
I like it this way so that out team can build momentum as chemistry develops.
I prefere to have the glory after the trophy is ours, not before!
Coach A will have his hands full this season, especially training Alston to become more of a playmaker, it could become the most significant improvement which gives way to our championship years.
For an early yard stick watch in the preseason when we play Boston .So many positive indicators will show of what is yet to come. :p

    Last season:

    - we suffered arguably the most injuries(if not the most significant ones)
    - we were adapting to a whole new system which Bobby Jackson once said "isn't even 10% implemented"(but certainly doesn't need to be 100%, only 40-50% IMO)
    - we didn't play Scola much until January, and Carl Landry was glued to the bench the entire time

    Through all of that:
    - we were a .500 team without T-Mac, far better than the days of being .200 without him
    - we ran off 22 straight, with injuries and a good portion without our primary weapon
    - gave the j*zz a tough 6 games with a 50% T-Mac, 60% Battier, 50% Rafer(when he played) and no Yao
    - finished with 55 wins in probably the toughest conference in league history, only 2 behind 1st place Lakers

We were a darn good team as it is once we're on all cylinders. Now we add Ron Artest, one of the best 2-way players in the league, to that mix, who fills many needs for us. Added defense, much needed scoring punch(and a big one at that), toughness, and someone who is NOT A BOY SCOUT.

Scola is used to the NBA now. We all know he's capable of picking up the slack for someone in a funk and give us a 20pt game if needed. Rafer is no longer depended on to score. Just take care of the ball, hit open shots and defend(all strong points for him). Luther Head no longer needs to come in to handle the ball. Plus we got Brent Barry who's very good at seeing the floor and an excellent passer. He can take those duties away from Head while shooting at the same clip or better.

    I CANT WAIT!!!

Pray for the good health of the team.
