It feels like teams cannot miss vs us? Is there a reason as to why they shoot 50%, we cant let this crap continue, if you lets teams shoot 50% in the playoffs you might as well forfeit. Players have good defence, but why the hell are they hitting 50% of their shots.

The Rockets are playing lazy Defense and not contesting jumpers.

Even Battier is playing like crap lately.

It seems like our defense is a mirror image plot on to how to stop our own offence and it could be do to practice time that threw us off defensively.

We defended the 3 point line better during the streak.Rafer would help and always without having to make identification where the shooter was HE KNEW WHERE TO GO.Right now we have poor rotation and shane is just letting guy's go right around him and he's getting lost in screens. NO INTENSITY

how come we dont play at a faster pace. without yao we should be running more and gettin out on tha break more, but we play jsut a little bit(not marginably noticeable) more uptempo since yao has gone down.

and dont give me that we dont have tha personall bs.

It's very annoying that we can out-rebound the hell out of a team and still lose essentially because they won't miss a shot.

Our defense isn't as good as it should be IMO.

It's just the energy and attitude. For some reason we've lost that.

We can't do that because nobody's making shots other than Tracy.Rafer is becoming a liability again,so is luther,so is bobby jackson.I think when we go small like we did against the lakers and golden state we have a better chance. Bobby jackso and rafer in teh backcourt and move T-mac to the 3.

Tracy McGrady is just as much if not more of a half court player than Yao is. McGrady simply will not run or push on a regular basis.

The defense has stunk since the end of the streak. I don't know if it's fatigue or just a lack of intensity, but we're letting even crappy teams light us up.

The Rockets have always given up open shots from 20 feet and out... lately teams have been hitting more of them.

... But lately, we are also giving up a lot more layups (we didn't really do that today, though, we just fouled a lot).

They are not rotating between shooters very well.

They have been fouling a lot more recently, have not been as disciplined causing Scola, Hayes, and Landry to get into a foul issues and not be in a rythym and not be as aggressive. This will also kill you against the Spurs, Suns, and Kings.

Lastly, a lot of those games in the streak, Deke dominated the paint to point that other teams stopped even trying to get into the paint. Against teams with Duncan, Shaqodemire, West, Garnett, Artest and such, just because Deke blocks some shots they won't be as intemidated by that and will continue to penetrate well on us. You can't really expect Deke to do that every game, but we have no one else to fill in for that.

Lastly, was it just me did the team seem to look exhausted late in the fourth quarter?

looks like the team lost some confidence lately.

lets hope they are able to take care of business in the next 4.

it could be poor rotation, it is, but its more the fact that we won 22 in a row and then got rewarded by having to play boston, new orleans, phoenix, spurs

does it really matter what seed we finish in, there is no dream matchup in the first round, id rather them just lay off finish .500 and be rested to play that defense we had during the streak in the playoffs

if battier is sucking on defense lately, something must be wrong. hopefully we can pick it up. offensively, we are scoring enough. we outrebounded the kings badly tonight. but another 50% shooting for the opponent. not good.
