Ok, this is a sensitive subject on this Kobe since we don't know the outcome yet. But we all been talking from TMac, AI to Ray Allen ect., how about Kobe coming to town? We have all heard how unhappy Kobe is in LA. But if he is not guilty in the charges against him will he stay in LA.

We also heard he would be going to Clippers and no other team.

Ok here's why Kobe might want to play here:

    1. No Shaq and his big mouth and demanding attention
    2. Big Centre in Yao MIng to help keep him for double to triple team every nigth
    3. Yao will give him the ball back
    4. Yao and Kobe will be the next dyanmic due and wins many championship.
    5. Getting out of LA from the media frenzy
    6. JVG

    Why he wont play here:

    1. Houston isn't Hollywood.
    2. He likes the fame
    3. Fans still love him
    4. Clippers got a decent core of players
    5. The rivalry with Lakers and Clippers Makes BIG story and MONEY
    6. Did I mention MONEY?

That are just a few I can only think of. He already won a couple of Championship so I'm not sure how fire up competive he still is.

Why? Because he thinks he'd be THE star.

Why not? Because they don't allow convicts to play in the NBA.

It's not a question of whether Bare Bryant would or would not want to play here. Rather, it is a question of whether the Rockets would or would not want him to play here. Les knows that he would be creating a vast schism among Rocket fans.

Kobe ain't comin' here because of the "guilty" and "no means no" chants/taunts during the playoffs. End of story.

Really? IMO, fans generally go along with their teams. Many people weren't happy with the Barkley trade, but it happened, did it not?

I know that we always want the best player on the team we just played but this is ridiculous. The guy just beat us last week. Why do we want him? We hate him! Horrible horrible thread.

I'd rather read the 1000th thread on T-Mac than 1 on how much we neeeed Kobe.

I can't root for somebody like Kobe. It's unfair to call him a rapist because he hasn't been convicted of anything yet. But he is an admitted adulterer.

Funny how everyone doesn't want Kobe but if he does play here, everyone will be kissing his ass. It's a joke how close minded some of the respond here on this thread.

I, among a number of others, still cry over giving up Cassell and Horry for an over-the-hill and under-the-buffet-line Charles Barkley. Barkley's game did not fit well with the Dream and he drove Clyde off years earlier than expected.

I can just imagine how Bare Bryant and his humongous ego would rip the Rockets apart. You don't see any of his Laker teammates in tears. They're all ready to pack his bags.

I'd find it very hard to root for this team if they went out and got the guy who just knocked my team out of the playoffs...especially after the verbal abuse the fans gave him. If management was stupid enough to go out and get this guy, they don't deserve to have any fans.

But it's not going to happen, so it doesn't matter. Just think about how pissed people would be about Yao not getting touches because Kobe is taking 20-30 shots a game.

I'm glad the fans did it then. I can't stand him. He is a great ball player, but there is no way I could ever root for him.

I've been a Rocket Fan since I moved to Houston when I was 8 years old in 1988, but I don't know how I would feel about the team with him on there. While I am sure I would stick with the team and hope they win, there is no way I could ever cheer for Kobe.
