And the challengers are Gasol, Radmanovic, Bradley and Troy Murphy. Something about european players that make them fundamentally sound, especially shooting BUT always lack defense, athletism and intensity. Gasol and Radmanovic are portrayed to defy some of those critisms. Gasol and radmanovic both have very good athletism, defense with already expected accurate shooting. Gasol at this point seems to be more of a finesse pretty boy player that likes to pass, shoot over ppl, reminds me of stroakovic of sacramento of how his style is said to be. Radmanovic is a weak man description of a Gasol but already has strentgh to do some dirty work. Bradley plays a very european like style, and is similair to Gasol with less athletism but more strentgh, better post, but weaker three.
Troy Murphy is least athletic out of all, but maybe the strongest and toughest, and is deadly at the perimeter, good post moves.

My opinion i think Murphy will beat out Gasol who beats out radmanovic who beats Bradley, especially also cuz he has gotten 15 percent more athletic losing weight. Remember Danny ferry? how about matt bullard? or Don mclean?? Murphy will be more like a Mchale cuz he was a mean competitor. Those are the kind of guys who come out winners in clutch. Gasol has better potential but too soft, as well as Bradley who i think will be the next Dino Radja, which is not so good. Radmanovic is the wild card, could be the best i think cause he has all the euro skills but could be mixed with a touch of american with passing and inside work, similiar to nowitsky now.

opinion? who u think is the next Bird?

How many feminists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Two, one to screw it in, and one to ride my rodney.

I hate this friggin' thread. One could argue that the city with the best talent concentration is Vilnius (talent per capita), and all those guys are white.

There is a reason that most NBA players are black, and it is not because they are black.

Elaborate please...what does the capital of Lithuania have to do with anything?

You know, I had to re-read that statement to see if it made any sense or if it was a Quaylism/Dubyaism. So explain what it means.

I am sorry that the sentence did not make sense to you. Perhaps my use of a comma confused you? I recommend "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White.

I didn't ask you to explain the punctuation, I asked you to explain the statement. Might I recommend you respond to the question I asked? Or is that too much to ask of you? Here, let me make it easier for you :

If the reason most NBA players are black is not because they are black, then what is the reason?

Now... either continue to squirm or answer.

I am not squirming, I think my sentence was perfectly clear. Judging from your latest response, you understood exactly what I was saying.

By challenging my post, I take it that you believe that blacks have some inherent advantage over whites in the game of basketball. Please explain yourself.

Sure you are. You're refusing to explain your statement. You stated what was not true; I'm simply asking you to state what is true or at least what you think is true.

Nope. You took it the wrong way. The ball is still in your court.

Since you took my statement incorrectly, I have no need to explain myself especially as you're attributing beliefs to me that I don't hold.

Furthermore, I see you have no defense or evidence of support for what you stated, so I'll assume you made a statement with no sufficient reasoning to back it up. It's a shame you make a point, yet can't defend it. Why would you make it in the first place? It's fine that you can point people who question you to a URL in attempts to make them look silly, but what looks sillier -- a person that asks a question that seemingly can't be answered or one that makes a statement and cannot back it up?

You seem to have some chip on your shoulder. I simply asked you to explain your statement to see where you were coming from. At that point I would've made an assumption as to whether I needed to counter your statement. Instead, you assumed the worst and tried to make me look bad in the process. You failed. Next time, just answer the simple question.

By the way, love your name.

Okidokie. I tend to agree about the troll part. Regarding the cause and effect statement, I really made no stand -- I was just looking to make a stand. I was simply asking him to be specific. But then a troll has no reason to be specific.

Regarding the "White Men Can't Jump" thing, that's just plain stupid. I can find several white men that can jump. [IMG]

On a lighter note, do you think the KKK would accept me? [IMG]

So, once again, instead of defending your statement, you label me a "troll".

Is this the only way you lefties think you can win an argument around here? Geeez....

    DoD,

Bevo is not squirming. He is laughing at anyone on the board falling for his provocation.

btw: his statement was clear to me. He said this:

He is simply talking about talent per capita. He is making a statement that the most talented players in Europe are in Vilnius, and are white. He is saying the most talented people in the NBA happen to be black.

I completely agree with that, because it is fact. Bevo is perfectly fine saying White/Vilnius and Black/NBA to make this point about talent. I believe you are the one assuming he means that Black means more talent. Don't get so PC. He made no cause/effect conclusions. He is simply talking about per capita quantity...sheer numbers.

Don't you see he left it in pure talent per capita terms just to troll for provocation. But, he is not making the assumptions that he has successfully trolled out of you.

"White Men Can't Jump", I guess is a movie title that bothers you, too.

    Nope. I'm not being PC.

The fact is, he said "there is a reason", yet fails to tell what that reason is. I simply asked him to explain that.

I couldn't care less about being PC; I just don't happen to flaunt that. If you've read some of my other responses in race threads, you'd see this.

    DoD,

The reason is "talent per capita". That is what he said. Since you assume otherwise, I am assuming you are taking PC offense.

Quit responding to Bevo. It's like I want to laugh at anyone who tries to get in "debates" with him. This is Bob Rainey. He has suckered everyone on the bbs at one time or another, but we fail to learn.

This is a profession Troll. And he purposely provoked this thread, but he is laughing because he made no cause/effect issues that you keep insisting that he did make.

Allow me to correct myself. imo, I don't think Bevo purposely provoked this thread anymore than #13 did with the title.

Wait a second. I made a statement, that blacks are not in the NBA because of their heritage, and you challenged me.

Why should I be forced to defend my statement, that blacks and whites are the same animal except for skin color? Maybe we need to get you a white hood?
I did no such thing. I made a statement, and you made yourself look bad.

Thanks, Heypartner suggested this name to me in a private email a couple of weeks ago. By the way, I won't hold any of this against you. Have a good day.
