I'd prob. say RJ , but not by much although M.D does have a nicer shot.(Correction) a shot. RJ does have a decent shot, we shouldn't dog him like that. ------------------

*This is about Rip Hamilton -- I misread the post and thought we were talking Hamilton vs. Dickerson* Before the draft, I was very high on Hamilton -- I was of the opinion he was the best player in that class. He hasn't emerged as such, but I still think he's got the ability to really step it up. When he was starting, he was averaging something like 20 ppg, and had a couple 35+ or 40 point games. I think Michael Dickerson is a solid player, but really nothing too spectacular. He's a good shooter, and solid defender, but he can't create very well, and he's kindof insconsistent. Rip Hamilton is a better creator, penetrator and overall player. I like Richard's potential a lot more too. ------------------ blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah [This message has been edited by Vengeance (edited June 11, 2001).]
If RJ turns out to be as good MD....wow...what a pickup. ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
Whoops, I got Rip Hamilton confused with Jefferson What I wrote was about Hamilton, not about Jefferson. So I think Richard Hamilton is better than Dickerson. And I also think that Jefferson is better than Dickerson, and may be as good as Hamilton . . . ------------------ blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
Errr... I think Dickerson is better. It's possible that Jefferson will emerge, but he's in desperate need of a shot and better passing skills. I think that all too often people just "assume" that players with great athleticism can learn shoot, etc. That just isn't true. If it was, then there wouldn't be guys like Jeff Hornacek. All too often, these athletic-freaks flop because they never learn the necessary skills. I'd pick a proven-Dickerson any day over Jefferson's "potential." ------------------ Lacking inspiration at the moment...
MD, Better shot. Both fast, but RJ may have better quickness. I would rather have MD as a third guard than RJ. ------------------
RJ brings more to the table than MD... RJ is solid all-around at everything but shooting... MD wasn't that strong, and has probably already reached his potential... I can see RJ becoming the next Shawn Marion... ------------------ "Awesome baby!" Dick Vitale
