I've searched thru the 14 pages of threads and haven't seen this posted. If it has been please lock. I want to know, who is your choice? Brandon Jennings is well deserving of this, imo, because he has elevated his team and potential "All Star center" Andrew Bogut into an All Star center. Before Jennings' arrival the guy was a sure fire bust posting mediocre numbers. Now that Brandon is in the fold these guys are in the playoffs and making the Hawks vs. Bucks showdown a series. Now who would you guys choose? Here are a few thoughts from outsourced opinions: Warriors blog (you know there choice) http://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2010/4/15/1423388/2009-2010-nba-rookie-of-the-year http://thehoopdoctors.com/online2/2010/04/2010-nba-rookie-of-the-year-and-all-rookie-teams/
T.Evans will win it, but IMO Jennings has had more of a positive influence on their respective teams, watching him play well in the playoffs makes me think that he`s the best rookie.
Are you serious? Andrew Bogut was a bust? Im sorry if you only started following the bucks this year, but thats no excuse for labelling Bogut a bust. Bogut has always been a great player before this year. His numbers haven't looked that great because the team the bucks assembled around him (players that don't know how to feed the ball into the post and look for their own shots), and the system hes played in. Before this year its always been outside-in rather than inside-out.
I don't follow the Bucks much to be honest, but I do know that Bogut has not lived up to what being a number one pick in the draft would be expected to. His numbers were decent his first 3 years but not #1 overall caliber. He has been significantly better this year with the arrival of Jennings and has finally started to vast show improvement in his game after 4 seasons. I don't see all this as being a coincidence that this happens after Brandon is drafted. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/andrew_bogut/career_stats.html
Tyreke already won it http://www.sactownroyalty.com/2010/4/27/1446682/breaking-tyreke-evans-to-be-named Tyreke Evans will be named the NBA's 2009-10 Rookie of the Year later this week, Sactown Royalty has learned. The announcement is expected Thursday or Friday. The Kings nor the NBA have announced Evans's victory, and the team has not yet alerted the media of a press conference later this week. Star-divide
Evans. How the hell is Bogut a bust? Sure he's taken his time to come along but he's easily a top 3-5 center.
I think it is Tyreke but Curry really came alive towards the 2nd half of the season so credit to him for working hard. Jennings needs to become a little more consistent and he is going to be a great player.
