if Joe-Bi and Barney are the arbiters of patriotism, then I nominate myself:

^ it just means he tries to take a lot of deductions.

I wouldn't be surprised if he deducts for his important "work" here on the BBS.

What a bunch of Marxist dribble....attack the rich and promote class envy

    From "The Communist Manifesto"...

10 Conditions For Transition To Communism

    1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes. (check - imminent domain)
    2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax. (check - already in place)
    3. Abolition of all right of inheritance. (check - death tax)
    4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
    5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly. (check - Obama just did this)
    6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State. (there have been number attempts at this)
    7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
    8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture. (check - unions, community organizers, the media)
    9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equal distribution of the population over the country.
    10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production

the thadeus is clearly the most patriotic member of the D & D because his patriotic member is always, at least, at half-mast.

(and is intermittently colored Red, White, and, though very very rarely, Blue)

    No minimum wage.

    No unions.

    One labor market under God.

    He is a Libertarian/Republican type. :p

So what is your point. Make it explicitly. If it is what you are insinuating, I would be really happy to have you make it explicitly.

Please, I am begging you to make AMT relief a partisan sticking point.

You will be penetrated violently by the hard thrust of reality if you do. I trust, that, as usual, you haven't done any research on this issue and, as with pretty much all things monetary, economic, financial or fiscal, you posess only a third grader's level of comprehension of the subject.

who said AMT relief was a partisan issue? do you think there needs to be AMT relief or not? i clearly do, do you have a stance, wide or narrow, on this important issue?

    or just snark?

imminent domain is the same as having ALL RENTS of land go to public domain? That makes no sense.
Yet it is less progressive now than it was under Reagan. We are moving farther away from communism.
You don't understand the inheritance tax, since not ALL inheritance is abolished. Only a portion of the largest inheritances are. It's amazing that you want people to not pay taxes on money they didn't do anything to earn.
Again you have no idea what has just happened, because there is no central bank or all credit in the hands of the govt.
    please provide examples.
Again Unions aren't everywhere. They also aren't armies, and you really lump the media and community organizers in that group? Please try harder to have some knowledge of what you are discussing. You should be very angry at whoever taught you that these things were what you think they are.

    Talk about reading comprehension issues.

Let's see, you start a thread b****ing about two democratic politicians, then you throw in some whine about the AMT, probably because you are taking 8 zillion deductions.

I guessed that you were linking the two - if not then make your point. I invited you to do so explicitly.

You will find an explict declaration from me on this issue by virtue of the search function, I have been quite clear on it.

And as to whether there needs to be AMT relief, I will do you the favor of telling you that the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009, which you and your party vigoriously opposed, contained AMT relief. You're welcome.

Please speak with somebody in eastern Europe or an immigrant that escaped a communist country before you get so scurred that you live in a Marxist state. You have no idea what you are talking about.

    Nice job, FB. :)
I'm not sure if OddsOn had a point with his "point," but what he posted (with all due respect to him) made absolutely no sense. See my signature for a cogent description of what he's doing. ;)

It's becoming pretty clear that OddsOn just repeats talking points and doesn't understand any of the issues he's "debating".
