George W. Bush and Warren Buffett. I have pics of Buffett, but I'm not going to post them. You'll have to take my word for it.
i don't know who is the most famous but i think everyone here knows these folks. i've met/have a picture with/have an autograph from: Rudy T '95 Sam Cassell '95 Matt Maloney '99, '03, '04 (he's ALWAYS out in Houston) Robert Horry '03 Cuttino Mobley '03 Boki Nachbar '03, '04 Mario Elie '04 Chris Mihm (at UT, came to my 21st birthday) '00 Ricky Williams (at UT) '98 David Arquette (superbowl w/e) '04 David Carr '03 Sheryl Swoopes '03 i think that's it...
I've met Pat Green, the guys from CKY, Dave Williams from Drowning Pool, the guys from Unloco, Ill Nino, Flaw, and everyone down at 104KRBE.
I met Warren Buffett when I lived in Omaha at his annual stock holders convention. I also met my sports idol, Dan Marino....that was the coooolest
I'll exclude the Rockets because I've met a lot of them. Probably the most famous would be Bono followed by Billy Joel. I've met tons of other musicians - Zakk Wylde, Bruce Kulick, Billy Cobbham, John Patitucci, Chick Corea, Dave Weckyl, Terry Bozzio, Steve Morse, all the guys from Queensryche and Kings X, Rod Morgenstein, Billy Sheehan, Paul Gilbert, Will Lee, Dimebag Darrell and on and on. Most of them aren't "famous" unless you know their bands, etc.
-Little Richard -Got to go into the 94 Vancouver Canucks locker room right after a game. -t.a.f.k.a...prince cat mobley, and uh, bryant "big country" reeves. yeh, really haven't met anybody too famous.
Stood in line to shake hands with Barbara Bush once because my friend made me do it. I don't know if it really counts as meeting since she looked kind of tired and was trying to just get all the hand shaking over with. (I don't blame her. Imagine if you had to "meet" all these people, everywhere you went, every day. It would get old really fast.) I don't really do the "famous people" thing, since 1) most of them are overrated, and 2) they have to spend all day meeting these random strangers - you can imagine they would want a break, even if they feel they have to act "nice". I'm just as happy to stay out of their hair, so I don't try to meet them. That would leave... knowing people (growing up with, etc.) who became famous later. Which didn't happen to me too much. One of my old friends became an Olympic swimmer, but she didn't win medals or anything like that.
Peter Lynch....worked with his daughter...they hosted a picnic at their place for a bunch of us....Olajuwon kicked me out of his yard back in the early 90's..not sure if that counts
Joe "Suzy, I wanna kiss you" Namath Paul "Bear" Bryant - I was a little kid and I shook his hand. Stewart Copeland (Police) helluva drummer and helluva nice guy. John Mellencamp Arnold Schwartzenegger Jamie Lee Curtis Jimmy Buffett George HW Bush George Bush Bill Clinton Madeline Not-So-Bright Rush Limbaugh Annika Sorenstam Freddie Couples
When I was a kid, my Dad was friends with Mike Munchak and Bruce Matthews. They took my whole family out to eat once. Lot's of other Houston athletes because of my Dad's job. Rivers Cuomo and Matt Sharp (Weezer) hanging out in Austin in '96 Dave Weckl (I have a picture of me and him that my ex girlfriend lost ) Lot's of other famous drummers at PASIC in New Orleans that year Will Lee. His folks live(d) in Hunstville. I gave him a hat that said "Bass" on it, only it was like 'bass' the fish, not the guitar. He wore it on Letterman the next week. Oh, and Jeff Balke.
