It's too early to tell right now but if I had to choose, I would say the Texans are better right now. Just look at the records so far. Cowboys beat the Texans Week 3 but that was without Brian Cushing, Duane Brown, and Andre Johnson wasn't 100%. Cowboys lost at Washington and Texans won at Washington. I think both teams will make the playoffs.

The Cowboys kicked the Texans's ass in Houston. Nuff said.

Next year the Texans will be a better team while the Cowboys likely have peaked.

well, right now, the Texans are 3-1, while the Cowboys are 1-2. I don't really understand where the dispute is.

As the years have gone on, I've found my hate towards the cowboys to be less and less and my hate towards the titans to be more and more.

One team plays us twice a year, used to play in Houston, then broke all our hearts by leaving, and now plays for a different city in our division. The other team isn't even in our conference and we only play every 4 years.

The hate shouldn't even be comparable, IMO.

    Go Cowboys. Beat the titans.

    Tony Romo < Matt Schaub
    Barber/Jones < Arian Foster
    Gronkowski < Leach
Austin, Williams, Bryant = Johnson, Walter, Jones
Dallas Oline (better pass blockers)= Texans Oline (better run blockers)
Jason Witten>Owen Daniels (tied if Owen is healthy, but not right now)

Dallas Defensive Line = Houston Defensive Line (Houston has the best defensive lineman, so slight edge)
    Dallas Linebackers < Houston Linebackers
    Dallas Secondary>Houston Secondary

    Buehler<Rackers
    Briar=Turk
    Dez Bryant=Jacoby Jones

I would give the edge to the Cowboys linebackers over the Texans. Ware, Spencer, James, and Brooking are all good.

We've played comparable teams. I think the record speaks for itself. TEXANS are much better now than they've ever been.

Ryans, Cushing, and Diles are all good. In fact, 2 are all-pro talents. I'll take the combo of Cush and Meco over any pair the cowpokes have
Take a look at the standings, then get back to me

This is a logical extreme, and it's crazy.

In any one game, any team can beat another. They're better that day...but it doesn't necessarily mean they're the better team all the way around.

If the Texans finish the season 15-1...and the Cowboys finish 1-15...are we really gonna hold fast to the dogmatic approach that because the Cowboys scored more points that day, they're the better team?

Ware is the best OLB and maybe the best defensive player in all of football. He's that good. I don't think Cushing is in his league (and Cushing is very, very good).

    The Texans were at home.

The Texans were playing great football. The Cowboys were not.

Without the Texans touchdown is the last minute of the game, the Cowboys were sporting a 21 point devastating, ass-kicking lead. This was not a close game.

Now if the game were close or if the Texans QB made like a helicopter, we all could entertain some delusion that the Cowboys somehow lucked into this win.

BTW I hate the Cowboys with a passion.

true...ware is a stud but it's hard to compare a 3-4 LBs to 4-3, especially outside LBs

As for who is better. I still say the Texans despite their poor performance against the cowboys. It was just their day and to be honest that was a must win for them. The fact that Roy W actually played well just proves that the game was an anomaly.

you are also ignoring the fact that it was a must win for the cowboys and that they were a desperate team.

again, it was the cowboys day as indicated by several factors (Roy williams playing well, halftime FG that was a blown call, AJ's ankle, missing starters, etc etc). It was just their day, no more and no less.

I guess that means the 2009 Cowboys > 2009 Saints then, correct?

December 19, 2009. The Saints were at home.

The Saints were 13-0, and playing to secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. The Cowboys were 8-5, coming into the game off back-to-back losses and in a typical December swoon.

The Cowboys were sporting a 21 point devastating, ass-kicking lead (24-3), before a pair of late touchdowns made the final closer than the game was. This was not a close game.

So clearly, the Cowboys were the better team last season, correct?
