I had a sore throat on Tuesday, and I've had a fever and been coughing like an emphysema patient yesterday and today, and this cough syrup is working about as well as the Rockets pick and roll defense. Good thing I've got this week off! Oh well, time to get the chicken noodle soup IV started. Hope everybody is feeling better than I am, and happy new year!
I work in an office with about 25 people and about 7 of them have been sick now for about a month. I haven't been yet. knock on wood.
People in my office were last week and I think I might be coming down with something, but it could be just the weather going back and forth like it is
I don't get sick. I was blessed/cursed with a genetic mutation which gives me a super-human immune system.
battling a cold for a week. I'm just about recovered now but I still have the crud in my throat and I can't seem to get rid of it, thus my voice is a little off. I miss laughing.
Absolutely piss poor right now. Had a fever on Monday night, felt so-so on Tuesday, had another fever Tuesday night, felt like ass with a stuffy nose and sore throat yesterday. Last night I felt like my head was going to explode and I tosssed and turned for hours..... I woke up this morning feeling worse than I have the past 2 days.... What is going around right now? Because this is the nastiest flu Ive ever had..... And Ive taken literally EVERY over the counter med I can think of.....
I've been taking the Equate Cold and Cough Plus liquid caps for the last couple of days, and they've been absolutely amazing. Hopefully the runny nose will be gone by NYE.
Fine right now but the week of Thanksgiving I had a killer flu, sucked big time, hope that is the only one I get during the winter
I'm sick too...started last Thursday with a fever and feeling weak all over. Friday was a fever all day and didn't make it to work. I went out Friday night of course though til 4 AM. Saturday was major congestion which medicine barely helped. Sunday, I had a horrible cough, my head hurt all over and my body ached so badly. I went out again that night but was miserable so didn't stay out late. Then on Monday, I had such a bad chest cough that I had to whisper all day because otherwise I'd go into a coughing fit. My abs and diaphragm (? the sack that holds your heart and lungs) hurt sooo badly from all the coughing. It takes me about an hour to get past the coughing to get to sleep. I'm finally feeling better but having coughing fits and blowing my nose all the time. I have a bachelorette party tonight so I better be ready by 6 PM. I haven't had a lick of alcohol all through the holidays and I lost 4 pounds over the weekend.
Not sick now, but I was right before Christmas when I was out of town visiting relatives. Awful sore throat and fever. The good news is I didn't have to drive.
I've had a head and sinus cold all week...I'm barely getting back to normal...The only think I can attribute it to is the change in weather...
A couple of weeks ago, I got some bug that I initially assumed was food poisoning. Wished I was dead the first day, better and not vomiting the second day but all fuzzy in the head, could start eating again on the third day and basically back to normal. A short illness, but pretty brutal. Like I said, I thought it was food poisoning, but then my mother got it, and my father and my brother-in-law. It was a contagious little critter.
I'm getting there. I feel a little weak and when I get up from my desk, I feel some aches and pains. I'm still going to BW3 tonight, which probably isn't a good idea.
I take a massive dose of supplements when I feel anything coming on, did the same for my wife and mother in law and it appears to be helping.
I've been fighting off a sinus infection for nearly a month now. Tuesday and Wednesday were the worst for me, but I'm slowly coming out of it.
Not even a hint of a cold all season. I probably have something much more serious going on inside me and the germs want no part of it.
It always hits me over the holidays. I've been sick three times. First, a cold during finals... not too bad, and it waited until after choir season, so no complaining since I was spared the whole rest of the semester. But then food poisoning (avoid the Sonic in Waco), and a nastier cold type thing after that, which lasted through a lot of Christmas. I'm just now getting my sinuses back and I'm still missing part of my singing voice (which was weak to begin with, but I hate not even having one). Oh well, at least it's a good excuse to take Theraflu and Nyquil. Which will help you sleep well. And isn't that what the holidays are for... sleeping...
