Local House caliber player (i.e., from Houston who went to UofH) is more rare than local billionaire.

Local Billionaire would keep the team in Houston (and I'd argue every year he's doing that instead of moving the team, he's giving up tens of millions), House ain't even willing to give up a few mill.

don't change the subject. A Houston-born, ex-Cougar playing in the NBA at House's caliber is more rare than a local billionnaire.

Fans love local players more than local billionnaires owning teams....especially Houston Rockets fans.

    That's just a fact.

    Absolutely nothing...

All this complaining about a local owner is annoying. Either figure out a way to have money to buy the team and keep in Houston or put it into more positive energy like supporting the team more financially

    Well yeah

    Ah, okay. Agreed.

That's not to say one shouldn't voice their opinion or have to agree on everything Rockets, but it has become pretty annoying.

Some fans seem to be rooting for the Rockets accounting department rather than the players.

I'm here to root for the players, and I especially love rooting for players that pour their hearts out and that goes for out of towners like Patrick Beverley and even more so for players from closer to home.

I don't give a damn about how much money an owner saves, from a financial standpoint I only care about financial flexibility/dynamics to the extent that it raises our ceiling to get better during our target window. I don't care about staying the same for a lesser price. I don't care about ducking the repeater tax when Harden is 34 instead of 33. You know what I care about? The team we're trying to beat is spending $1m+ on tax alone for Andrew Bogut to practice with them. We sat out a guy, who our elite head coach clearly sees as a key rotation piece, for 20 games. We dumped a first and second and a useful contract for summer trades to get a guy who is getting his ass handed to him by mediocre Danuel House.

Hate that Tilman owns this team, but I believe in the heart of some of these players and heart has carried this team far in the past. Let's get it.

    Local billionaire

In the last 50 years there have been 10 to 15 billionaires in Houston

All these players have played in the NBA or ABA. In the last 50 years

The late Stephen Hawking was very rare, but also wouldn’t contribute much to an NBA squad.
