Please stop with the media is persecuting Ron Artest threads and you don't understand why. Oh you don't understand why the media would be cautious of the guy who went into the stands and started a brawl. The guy who asked his coach for time off during the season to promote his rap guy. That guy? You guys always do this, Shane Battier is the missing piece, Tracy McGrady will turn Stromile Swift into an all-star (that's my personal favorite). Please stop. Its loony. This is a risk, hopefully it works out, but please recognize it is what it is. There are reasons why this guy is playing on his fourth NBA as talented as he is. And stop ripping the media for recognizing those reasons. Its insanity.
Boooooooooooooooooo Of course it's a risk but a very, very small one considering what was given up to get him. Also, he loves and respects Adelman (I know they were only together half a season). AND he is actually on a team that has a shot to win it all. Let's give the guy a clean slate.
Its not that it isn't in the very back of our minds, but he is a VERY VERY good basketball player who has matured. Bottom line is, he is now our horse and we either ride and support him or we're wasting our time. What kinda of "fan" are you? I don't get it.
can you really blame the fans for being hopeful optimist and believing in a bright future? i mean, thats is what kinda makes us "fans"
yall are missing the point, the media is only going on ron's history. i'm excited about this trade also, but i'm not going to rip the media for ripping ron artest and if he is already giving crazy interviews about meaningless yao ming comments before he even gets to town, what do you expect the media to say
As least thinking artest is the missing piece isn't as delusional as francis lovers thinking he's anything but a washed up bum now.
He's hardly "gone crazy" yet. THIS IS NOT A RISK. This ain't a risk because in the worst case scenario, he screws up and the rockets pay him to stay home or move him for something. We gave up virtually nothing. I would be cautious too if we had given up something but as i've said before it's silly to even imply this could be a bad deal.
We're not ripping the media for pointing out that there are potential problems with Artest. ... But we have EVERY REASON to be excited about the potential here. The ceiling is MUCH, MUCH higher than the floor is low in this trade.
