Allen Iverson has more heart, but I'd much rather have Vince Carter on any team, The only time i take Iverson, is if i'm the GM for the New York Knicks.
They both had their moments but years pushed them. Although Vince is in really bad situation and doesn't play well I'd take him for a team leader overAllen Iverson who is still better player individually.
Iverson deffinatelty has more heart but all that heart can only take him so far. On a championship i would have VC.

Seconded. "Heart," is the most overrated garbage in sports. Eli and Payton Manning had no heart until they won the Super Bowl, right? I'd take whichever player I needed more, PG or SG.
as a role player on a championship team (in a ring hoe situation), i would probably take VC, too. If your talking about them being one of your main guys it has to be AI. The only reason i would take an old VC over an old AI is because i can't see AI being useful without athleticism. I know, i know, that's what VC is known for but he's 6'7" and he'll still be able to shoot on people (and set shots). AI's never been a great outside shooter and without athleticism he wouldn't be able to shake free for those mid-range jumpers and lay-ins. He'll probably have one of those sharp Shaq like declines.
No i meant in building a championship team, VC can be put to better use, i just can't picture iverson as a facilitator but i may be wrong
I completely agree with this it is really overrated. Iverson was better because he was a more skilled player. People always say that. I'm not gonna say there is no such thing as heart but it doesn't account for the big gap between AI and VC. Iverson gets to the rack more because he has some of the best handles this game has ever seen and he's as quick as lightning.
AI and it's not even close. Vince Carter has the talent and ability to be just as good as Kobe but instead shy's away from contact and cant handle adversity down the stretch. He's your prototypical waste of talent. To quote Bill Simmons of all people, "Is there anything funnier than Vince Carter's 4th quarter, 'Hang-a-towel-over-my-face' look whenever he does something to blow the game or proves to be unreliable yet again?"
this poll is necessary like the north and south on this planet. Some people felt VC or Iverson never fully committed to excellence. Its their voice. Yes we can.
