The more and more i think about it, the more and more i think KT, Rice and MoT are gone after this season. This team has all the aspects to compete with the best. I think Houston will get a good draft pick and use it to get Amare Stoudemire. So imagine this line up next year.

    C- Cato
    PF- Amare Stoudemire
    SF- Eddie Griffin
    SG- Mobley
    PG- Franchie

This team needs a big man with killer instinct. Stoudemire brings that. I would trade KT and Mot for a good vetern role player and try to unload Rice.

The more and more I think about it, the more and more I think the Rockets didn't sign Mo Taylor to a 6 year, 50 million dollar contract to trade him before he plays a game.

This team has all the aspects to compete with the best.

We're about 16 games below .500, and trading three of our better players is going to make us better?

I think Houston will get a good draft pick and use it to get Amare Stoudemire. So imagine this line up next year.

Yeah, lots of high schoolers come in and make good starters their first year.

This team needs a big man with killer instinct. Stoudemire brings that.

And you know this from watching him in high school? Even if he does turn out good, it will be three or four years before you even begin to see him display "killer instinct" and leadership qualities.

I may be mistaken, but doesn't Amare have a bad reputation? I've heard he's awesome talent, though.

I hope we trade for another player rather than keep our draft pick.

Oh yeah...I doubt Eddie will move to small forward.

Trade KT and MoT for "A" good veteran "ROLE" player?

    HUH? Excuse me but:

    1. If we're trading those 2,shouldn't we get more than a role player, and

    2. I may be wrong but I thought that KT and MoT were at least "good" and how much longer do they have to play to be considered veterans? Why trade two of those kind of players for one of the same kind? Who needs depth? :D ;)

I don't know if the Rockets would do that. Nugs might need to throw in Lafrentz and Exel.

Whoever is playing the 3 spot i think. If we wind up and it looks like a top 10 pick, i'll see what the clipps would want for Odom or Seattle with Lewis. Of course LA doesn't want Taylor, but maybe they could sign Odom then trade him to us for Thomas,Rice and that pick it would probably equal to the 8 or 9 mill he will sign for. Just a thought.

Well Lee I do not think the Clippers are going to want a broke down player like Rice especially with a 9 mil contract. It will take more than that to get a true talent like Odom with fresh legs. I would like to see us keep the draft pick, use it, buy out Rice contract, let Walt williams walk, and keep our core group.

Yea, GMs from other teams are just beating down our door to get Glen Rice.

What was that noise? Oh, that's another one inquiring about Glen's availability.

I don't know. I'd like to see the Rockets keep those players and try for this starting lineup next season:

    C - Cato
    PF - Taylor
    SF - Griffin

I really would like to see how Taylor and Griffin play together. But the thing that worries me about this lineup is Eddie at the SF. On offense, Eddie is definitely a small forward, but on defense I don't think he would be fast enough to guard the likes of Carter and Pierce. Plus, it would pull him away from the basket so he wouldn't be able to block as many shots. One recommendation would be for the Rockets to play more of a zone defense and let Griffin kind of lean towards the paint on defense so he can quickly get over and change shots. But that means Mobley and Francis would have to do a lot of running on defense to guard the perimeter shooters and I don't think they could do it.

I think the only way the Rockets will be able to keep Taylor for very long, is if they think Griffin can play SF. Because with the way Cato is playing, that whole notion of Griffin playing center has kind of gone by the wayside. I would much rather have a true center at the five.

As for Kenny, I would love for him to say and come off the bench as our sixth or seventh man. But with the success and notoriety he's gotten this season, I doubt he would be willing to do that.

Langhi and Walt will not be resigned. Willis may be resigned, depending on other post seasons moves (draft and trades).

KT is showing the league that he is an excellent role player. Next year, the Rocks won;t have minutes to give him, so the best thing for both parties is a sign and trade (or an unconditional release).

    The 2002-2003 roster would like:

    1: Francis, Norris, Brown
    2: Mobley, Torres
    3: Rice, Morris
    4: Taylor, Griffin
    5: Cato, Collier

plus the draft pick and whoever come over in the KT sign and trade.

Maurice Taylor isn't going anywhere. Not so much because of his contract but because he compliments this team so well. Mo is a fast starter, something we need. He is capable of hitting the open shot, a frontcourt with Mo and Griffin = 30 ppg and 17 rpg. I'd take that considering how weak we are up front. The potential and versatility of that line-up is mindboggling. Until Rice gets fully healthy, having him off the bench wouldn't upset me. Even if Rice isn't what he used to be he gives us offense off the bench.

I think this would be fine, as long as Griffin still gets about 35 minutes a night. Anything less than that, and I think the Rockets would be hurting themselves.
