I know this is probably a bad time right now with the recent trade and all, but who is going to spend New Years Eve with the Rockets? Are you going to stay for the concert and the countdown? How good is the guy that is singing? My mom wanted to go to the Rockets game that night (its her B-day) so I am going to take her, my little bro, and myself. Hopefully, its a good game.

I'll be checking the score on my cell phone.

I'm fulfilling an annual tradition with some friends where we all get together and split the cost of a limo for the night and just drive around all night with our ladies blasting Motley Crue, swigging Jack Daniels from the bottle and doing other stuff it's best to have tinted windows for in public. Generally partying like rock stars-- highly recommended!

The Rox will definitely be in the back of my mind though... If the limo had fallen through, Toyota Center is probably where I'd be. Feeling slightly more morose, no doubt.

The Rockets need to get rid of this tradition.

Yeah, tell me about it. I just bought some semi-expensive tix. Oh well, maybe we can get REVENGE.

I will be there, and I have an extra parking pass (LaBranch & Leeland entrance). I'm working in the Galleria area if anyone wants it....

Man, some of you are die-hard. Fortunately, I am in TN, so I won't have to worry about making this decision.

Yet, I find myself feeling that if I lived next door to the Toyota Center, I still would not want to go.:(

Was thinking about going but decided not to take the 4hr drive down from Dallas.

Don't get me wrong I really wanted to go but money wise it was just too sudden.

Anyways, I will be watching at home with my wife and friends.

    REVENGE WILL BE SWEET!

I've been there the last 2 years, but this year I'm just going to stay at home, get drunk, and blow up some sh*t with fireworks. I'm going to watch the game though. Blah.

It was a blast in 2002. Lil romeo, and Master P performed. At least that was entertaining. Last year, they had Baby Bash. He performed his weed song "suga suga". Garbage. I would've rather seen Ricky Bell do a solo set.

    Martha Focker.

    Happy New Year.

I'm spending new year's eve with my girlfriend along with The Flaming Lips, Wilco and Sleater-Kinney.

At this point, you couldn't pay me enough to attend a Rockets game, especially combined with a country music concert.

I'll probably keep up with the game on my phone though. Sadly.

I know, man! How many hardcore country-music fans attend Rockets games anyways?:p

More like who was actually available to perform for the Rockets on New years when all of them are actually partying and performing at much higher stages.

I am quite jealous! I am assuming you mean the concert in NYC (or is it in the swamplands of NJ). I really wanted to go, but I am out of the country for the year...sigh. Sounds like a great concert and an awesome way to spend New Year's Eve.
