The show should be killer. It is the "Hit n' Run Tour" meaning all greatest hits. It ought to be funk-tastic.

All of Prince Charle's Classics ............................................great

    Jeff,

That should be a great show. Let us all know how it went.

I wish I was going, and I wish I had more Prince CDs.

You won't be partying with him if you call him "prince". I bet the Bangles open up for him.

p.s. I just got Jon Bon Jovi's home phone number if you can believe it. My Sister's husband is Mark Van Ness, dj, in Philadelphia, and he had it on his clip board....I want to call but I know I shouldn't, What the hell would I say to him anyway. I'd be getting into to trouble if I did. Oh, the moral dilemma.

One more note, if you visit Philadelphia, the Rockey Statue is no longer there. All they have is his footprints. What a let down.

PSJ, I thought he went back to "Prince" from "the Artist" or squiggle-sign on whatever.

Are you serious, he went back? I guess his wife can call him by his real name now. I missed that news.

PSJ - Call Bon Jovi and tell him you liked him in U-571 and wanted to get his thoughts on acting vs. music for a web site article you are doing. After the call, write your interview up in a thread. You can call the thread "famous people I have talked to on the phone". I'll add to thread by writing about the time Jerry Glanville called me at home to discuss an Oiler preseason game.

You know, that's not a bad idea. It could work. And after watching "almost famous" I think I have the courage to do it. I may need some extra liquid courage. I've seen U-571 so I'm familiar with it. I'm going to call when he is on tour or has a show though, person to person ( should that happen), would be way to awkward for me. What if I asked him for an interview on sports? Or is that just dumb. Does anybody know if he's a sports guy? This is just plain crazy, but I'm game. What do I tell him if he asks where I got the phone number from? The truth would get someone in trouble.

PSJ: Prince began going by his orignial name after he setteled a suit with Warner Brothers. Essentially, Warner Brothers got a cut of ANY record released by the artist "Prince" and he didn't want to pay them so he changed his name.

After much legal wrangling, he got his name back though they still own the copyright to all his old material. Fortunately, for him, copyrights run out after 30 years and he will get his catalog back a little at a time.

I just love the music industry!

    Jeff --

That's awesome! I saw him play the Summit (15th row) during the Lovesexy tour, and it was indeed "funktastic." You're going to have a great time, and I expect a full review posted here afterwards! Since the tour seems to be skipping over LA, I need to live vicariously. [IMG]

R0ckets 03, you seem to have some anger problems. Damn.

Jeff, should be a great show. Prince is usually really well respected. Should be amazing.
