For all you Rudy bashers, here's one. Mobley might be one of the best 2nd round picks of all time. Frankly he might just already be the best!!

Come on, with his style of game Mobley would be a top 5 pick in last years draft. Remember that fateful day in Hawaii when he schooled the rest of the NBA player in one on one competition.

    That was sweeet!!!!

Shandon was selected as the 54th pick in '96.
Cuttino was selected as the 41st pick in '98.

I don't know if Cuttino is the best 2nd rounder in the NBA, or on the Rockets, but we probably have the best PAIR of second rounders in the NBA at the guard position.

The Mobley pick equals the bonehead move of drafting Turckan... In essence, you can say that Mobley was the 14th pick or whatever, and that Turckan was the 45th... If you look at it that way, it was a decent move... But certainly not enough to label Rudy as a genius...

Latrell was a 1st rounder. Mark Price, Dennis Rodman,Antonio Davis, and Jeff Horny come to mind as better 2nd rounders.

We traded Turckan for a first round draft pick. So Rudy is still a genius.

elie was a 7th round. and how about rashard the hometown hero. and i just checked and latrell's a #24, sorry about that. But rashard might turn out the best of his rookie class. (all lottery picks werent TOO good. but with dickerson and mobley , it will be tough.

A case could be made for Cedrick Ceballos at the 48th pick in the 1990 NBA Draft. He's pretty damn good IMO. He's maybe a little tempermental, but he'd be a good fit here at the small forward slot.

Who's a better late pick than Mobley? How about Shana, this blond I picked up at the Ace Bar and Grill in Ohio when I was 17. I had a fake I.D., and she had a yearning to teach. She was FAR better as a late pick up than Mobley.

John Starks, Avery Johnson and Charles "Bo" Outlaw were un-drafted.
