Thanks! My wife and I decided to be brave tonight and check this place out. Without a doubt the best Thai food I've ever had. We both ordered egg rolls and the Cashew Chicken w/chili paste....everything tasted unbelievable. We will definetly be heading back there again, probably next weekend. Only next time I will know to bring a bottle of wine or a six pack with us! Who would have thought such a great Thai restaurant would be located on Telephone Rd?

That would be me......and thank you for posting this.

Are they perfect every time? No....but it's still consistently the best Thai food I've ever had, and I've had it all over the place.

The reason I say "thanks" is that I'm meeting my neice there tomorrow evening, and I was forwarding her the b4-u-eat link today. I just happened to notice that someone gave a scathing review of the place....and not for the decor or the service, but for the FOOD!! He even had the audacity to suggest that he was some kind of Thai food expert. Needless to say, I think the guy is a moron.

Beer goes pretty well with Thai, but I've turned into kind of a wino lately. Try to shy away from the big, dry red wines with a spicy food like Thai. A good bet is reisling. If you go to the Spec's downtown, they've had this Joh Jos. Prum Reisling for the past few months that's astonishing. Another good bet (though a bit too sweet for me) is a good Moscoto di' Asti. Basically, a less dry wine is just the ticket for spicy Thai food.

If you happened to see a table of four in there tonight that were surrounded by all kinds of beer and wine, those were my usual partners in crime.....but my wife and I opted out tonight because she's under the weather.

Oh yeah......without a doubt, the best things on the menu are the Tom Kha Gai and Tom Yung Gai soups. They aren't cheap for what you get, but that stuff is crack.

Is this the place that has the all green interior? And the really bad service from the old guy who doesnt seem to care about the customers?

If so, I think i've been there. Food was good, but the guy was a jerk. Also, we sat there and waited for a check for like 15 minutes before we realized that he keeps all the checks on the counter in the back, and you're supposed to go back there and pick yours out.

If I'm talking about the wrong place, sorry.

Yeah, that's the same place. I had heard all these horror stories about the "Thai Nazi", but he was really pleasant to us that night. He seemed to be in a good mood. And our service was great...maybe you just caught them on an off night.
