Rafer Alston's shooting is a genius.
Maybe its him practicing more or a shooting caoch but his shot looks much better then from begining of the season.

In the begining of the season when he missed it was either too short or too long and had no chance of going in but now even when he misses it looked like it had a good chance of going in.

It looks to meet his shooting it more softly and smoothly then just chucking it up.

Either way, Rafers improvement in shooting is a big reason I think the Rockets are playing very well.

lol yeah.. when your pg shoots well it's always a plus, just hoping that rafer doesn't cool off.. we need him to play well in order to have a chance in the play offs..

i have to say rafer was the main reason we beat new orleans...he kept chris paul in check, and didnt let him score much...had rafer not played the defence he did, chris paul would of gone off for 30 odd and we could of been in a 3 game losing streak at the moment...chris paul makes the difference in hornents game, and well done to rafer for shutting him down and not letting him impact the game, expect for the "never gets old, alley-oop pass to chandler"....i know it works, but really, chandler acts so hard and stuff after they pull it off, and it really makes me think, apart from blocking the odd shot what else can the guy do?...

ALL of sudden Rockets are becoming a contender solely because Rafer has improved his shooting? .....Hallelujah....

The optimistic poster would say that all the hard work Alston put in during the offseason to improve his shot is finally paying off, a proof of what can be achieved with dedication and a belief in yourself.

The pessimist would say that he has hit a hot streak but is bound to go back to the Rafer we know and not love. And thank the gods we picked up Jackson.

He's shooting form hasn't changed at all. He seems to shoot better is because the team offense is smooth. Rafer doesn't have to force shot now. Remember last season, he often shoot in the last second of shot clock which was painful.

Ditto...I'm glad we got Jackson if his shot isn't on....all we need is a consistent point guard that can make open shots...
