Jake (Jacksonville): Besides the Clippers (if they keep everyone) who do you see as the team of the future?

Chad Ford: I think the Rockets have a lot of nice pieces. If they can stay healthy and if Yao turns out to be worthy of the No. 1 pick, they'll be really good.

    Strange, huh?

man...don't push it. lakers are #1 or 2 cuz of shaq and kobe, while mavs are definately in contention cuz of Cuban. I'm not saying that the clipps and rocks have no chance of being 1 or 2...just not both at the same time and most likely only if they complete an upset in the playoffs.

I remember hearing in a Sportscentury on Kobe, they said something about him being a bit of a loner, and too serious. On the other hand, Shaq was not serious enough, which I believed caused problems. The two both met in the middle and I think winning has solved their problems. Of course, I want it to resurface so that the Lakers will not win and the Rockets will. :D
This probably won't happend though. (although Shaq may retire and become a cop.)

That whole Shaq and Kobe feud is a couple years old. They are pretty friendly on the court. I mean, they can stage hugs and jokes but why would they want to if they didn't mean it? Kobe is still the same off the court, but because he's softened up and passes the ball more, his teammates are willing to look over his personality and win. Shaq has nothing more to prove, so he's willing to let Kobe take more control because the whole feud was mostly about their egos and how they fit into the pantheon of the greatest players in history. Mostly, they know they need each other to win so being friendly on the court works better...
