Now that our team is just about complete, I was wondering for the sake of Pete, what one player from the Oilers past, would you like to see playing with the Texans?

Yeah todd, and how could you leave Rob Carpenter off that list? Or Vernon Perry?

1979 -- Houston safety Vernon Perry sets an NFL playoff record with four interceptions in the Oilers' 17-14 victory over San Diego.

Having the team torn away from Houston left a sour taste in the mouths of many Oilers fans. Fortunately, there are many great memories of the team that will never be forgotten. Many of those memories are of the late 1970s and early 1980s, one of the most successful eras for the team, when Earl Campbell ran the ball with reckless abandon.
This poster was originally published in 1979, in the heart of this successful era. The artwork speaks for itself - a nice mix of football, Texas history, and the space program. The copies we have obtained are from the second edition of the poster, printed in 1983.

Larry Moriarty or Carl Roaches. Maybe Alan Pinkett.

The texturing is what makes this poster stand out most - artist L. Smith did a great job of giving this poster depth, making it practically jump off the wall! A great item for Oilers fans in both Texas and Tennesee.
This is a true collector's piece, part of the NFL Collectors Series released in 1968. Artists were comissioned to paint thematic pieces for each of the AFC and NFC teams between 1968 and 1971, and these are the results.

I actually still have this poster.

Move on with your lives, people!!! The Oilers never existed...it was all just a bad, bad dream.

We've wiped the slate clean and have started anew. DONT LOOK BACK!!
