I don't think the Rockets are making the playoffs this year so let's talk about Plan B. Who would you want the Rockets to take in the upcoming draft?
yeah...what him say. we dont have a first this year....and with our luck..we wont have one next year either. we will probably use it in a trade over the offseason(if we even still have it,which I am not sure about)
WHAT?????????????? I thought we finally had a pick this year. ARGGGGG!! It just gets worse and worse in H-town....
Wayne Simien, though I doubt he'll be around unless the Rockets get top 3 in the lottery again... point guards are easy to find, but quality big men are a much more valued commodity...
I think the pick we traded away in lottery-protected. So, if you're assuming we don't make the playoffs, then we will have a pick and in the top-13. But, you're a pretty sorry fan to think we're out of the playoffs while we're currently in the 7th seed.
I'm so ticked at Francis' play that i would seriously consider trading him straight up for Okafor (salaries would have be matched and other players included).
Wayne Simien is not coming out this year and I don't think that he will be a lottery pick next year either. The guy is a tweener. Definitely cannot play 3, but not strong enough to start at 4 for a west conference team.
this draft sucks....nbadraft.net has like 3 high schoolers in the top 5. the nba draft is turning into a minor league draft....its a joke now. nfl draft will soon be the same way
I'd like to get Okafor, though I don't think he'll all that great in the NBA. I've been a big fan of his since HS, but I don't see him being more than a Buck Williams with shotblocking. Which is defnitely something the Rockets could use. I really like Josh Smith's game. I think he's going to be the best player from this draft.
I agree about Okafor. He'll be solid, but sort of like a poor man's Elton Brand. Are you in GA, how'd you see Smith? I think over time Telfair, Livingston, and maybe that Russian 7 footer will be the best.
Having watched Okafor almost every game this season, I'd have to respectfully disagree. His offense has improved by miles over the past few seasons and he is now the best go-to low post scorer in the nation. That, in addition to the best shot-blocking presence to come around in at least 3 years suggests to me that he could be a consistent 20-10-3 in his prime.
Haha, you've got me there. It's true that he's had a tough time against Pitt in general. But I think that could be said of a lot of players, especially UConn players
