Ok. Once and for all let's put this to a test. Who would you rather have in the rox unis and why ?

    Mobley or T. McGrady ?

Based on need, I'd have to say McGrady. I'd rather have an Anderson/McGrady shooting guard/small forward combo than a Mobley/Anderson combo (I'm for starting Mobley at shooting guard and Anderson at small forward if we keep Mobley). I just think McGrady makes more sense, especially from the standpoint of need (not to mention talent). I think Francis got along well with McGrady during the All-Star weekend. If we could get him, I suspect Steve could overlook losing Mobley.

McGrady, but only if we knew we could re-sign him.

I love our mobley bench, but cmon, McGrady is already becomming a star, while Mobley is just a *gem*

I would honestly rather have Mobley, just because chemistry is something you can't count on until a trade occurs. I like Mobley-Francis-Anderson nucleus. These guys all seem to get along (esp. Francis-Mobley). McGrady may have more talent but I would rateher keep Mobley, just because young superstars can often have ego problems (like the Movericks with the 3 Js) and I don't see any problems occuring between Francis-Mobley (even though Mobley may not be considered a superstar)

McGrady. We need more talented BIG people. We have a team where all our talent lies with the midgets.

    McGrady

    1) Opp FG% will go down as the rockets block 2 more shots per game.

    2) He can finish at the SF position

    3) younger

    4) taller

    5) better FG%

    He plays SF well.

    Mobley

    1)He's the team veteran

2)Fastest first step in the nba. He claimed to be. No one has challenged his title. Long live Mobley.

    3)chemistry

    4)Who's got game champ

5)When he plays well, the rockets win.

    he's the bench

It is better to have a starter than a bench player.

    How about this????

You have $11 Million (+/- 85 to 115%) to spend.
You can get to choose from the following (with known or likely costs in parenthesis):

    Francis($3.5)
    Mobley($4.0)* (Sign/Keep)
    Dickerson($1.5) + a player and a pick
    McGrady($6.6)* (S/T)two players (incl:a starter)
    Hughes($1.68) + a player and more
    Anderson($2.2)
    V.Maxwell($1.5) + a player
    D.Anderson($4.75) (poss S/T) 2 strong bench players

    * guesstimates on the final settlement of their contracts.
