    ok, this is a sports fans' bulletin board. looking at the technique of both kerry and bush, it seems obvious: even in a bullet proof vest, W can pitch, but kerry can't catch!

    The fact that, when asked who his favorite Red Sox player was (after stating the redsox were his favorite team), he responded by declaring "Manny Ortiz", tells me I don't think he belongs anywhere near a mound...let alone a big White House on Pennsylvania Ave.

    Numerous liberals have already supported Basso's starting of threads, in a different thread. I'll add my support to Basso's thread starting, and encourage more. It's been done by others in the previous thread, so there should be no need to be redundant.

    I'd like some disadvantaged kid, or the biggest fan for the home team to throw the first pitch. Bush (although he is somewhat of a disadvantaged kid) nor Kerry really care about throwing the first pitch, it should go to someone who will actually appreciate it.

    I hate when politicians w**** themselves out for photo ops, especially when their record contradicts what the picture may show.

    under those rules if I had to choose between both, I guess Bush, because he's more likely to care about throwing a baseball in front of a crowd than Kerry.

    and mc mark, that cartoon is just stunning. But it is true that for the first time ever, violence is not a number one story for the media. curious how callous the country has become.
