Who would you rather have a 3 pt Shooting Sengun or Giannis?

I wasn’t paying attention and read this thread as who I would rather have shooting threes right now

 

If Sengun would work on his 3pt shot he could unlock superstardom, if not, he needs to be traded.

LOL The fascination with our CENTER needing a 3pt shot and not the dog **** backcourt that can’t shoot.

I know, everyone is a guard now (even the centers, even the 7’5 guys) and we want to camp out at the 3pt line and shoot threes and the NBA is now just a 3pt contest and who can make the most threes?

I mean **** it, let’s go D’Antoni-Morey small ball, throw 5 guards (or 4 guards 1 forward) out there, and get 60 threes up like the Celtics.

Alpi needs to work on his finishing closer to the basket before working on his 3-point shooting. He needs to perfect the push shot from within 15 feet like Hartenstein does. Hitting that at 75 percent will improve his overall efficiency and make it easier to get to the rim.

He also needs to improve his FT shooting.

He can work on the 3 in a few years once he's better closer to the basket.

 

Still 100% correct.....3pt shots have changed the game, it is not as good a game overall.....but.....it is not going away, so our center, who is short and slow - needs a 3pt shot to unlock his best self.

Sorry you don't understand the context - but it is 100% truth.

It is annoying when people try to shoe horn in something because they don't like a poster, or what they are saying - you know damned well that saying, 3pt shooting has killed the game or made it worse - from, Sengun needs a 3pt shot because that is the modern game - those are two separate subjects.

If it were me, I would remove the 3pt shot and get back to movement and working for the best shot, but it isn't......and the 3pt shot is here to stay, so, we have to embrace it....thus, he needs a 3pt shot.

I mostly agree with this post.

I do think Cam Johnson would still fit in really well with this roster. If we had traded for him at the deadline, we would have made it to the 2nd round.

 

I'd rather have a 80% High volume FT shooting Sengun or Giannis than a Sengun/Giannis that may hit 2 or 3 three pointers every now and then.. I agree with @J.R. .. This " Can my big shoot the 3 " bullshit needs to quiet down.. It's not the reason teams win the chip.. And it's not the reason we will..

 

Sengun needs to shoot 3s that way Jalen can thrive attacking the unclogged paint. Sengun is holding Jalen back

Sengun can win the 3 point contest every year if you got points for air balls.

 

Odd question to ask without stipulating a volume/percentage and/or improvement in shot!
