In the event that we aquire a center, who would you rather give up? Scola is no doubt the better player as of now but Hill has a bunch of potential, is younger, plays better D, and more athletic.
I would like scola to stay since he knows the game more better, but for the long term i like hill. But i chose Scola :$
Hill if we manage to trade Yao's contract and bring in another player we can build around. Apart from that 1 scenario, Scola every day of the week, not only does he not "fit" with where the Rockets are heading, he would bring far more assets back for the Rockets than Hill could.

Jefferies and possibly Ish are my main assets that I can let go of and not go crazy. The rest of the Rockets... well, the spoiler says it all...
I'd like to keep Hill, but if I had to choose one of those to let go, it'd be Hill, and I'd never think twice about it. Hill has made some impressive improvements, but his breakout game was 9 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 5 fouls. Scola is averaging 20 and 9. I think there is a possibility that Hill ends up better than Scola in a couple of years, but he may just be a good back up.
I appreciate Jordan Hill, he has tremendous upside.. but I dig Luis Scola more, although he's older with less D-- Jordan Hill was not the leading scorer in FIBA Basketball and placed 2nd behind Durant for MVP. Scola is the heart/hustle of the current constructed team & Jordan Hill sports the athleticism/spunk.
Why give up either one. The team will have player injury exemption and JJ contract they can move for a C.
Why do we 'have to give up' one of them? If we acquire a center does it mean we're not allowed PFs anymore?
Can we just keep the team as it is, for now, and see what happens as the players develop chemistry, and the young ones working on their games?
Because this is a disgise "Hill is better than Scola" thread. Good thing not everyone is on the same page as the OP. Hill has been good but Scola has been better.
