So I know its a little premature since nothing is guaranteed, but with the latest development, who would you guys like to meet in the playoffs? I don't know if this has been posted or not, but I thought it would be cool to have a poll up showing who the people of the board would rather see in the playoffs. And just FYI, I left Phoenix off the poll because they are the team that I think will miss the playoffs, and I left Lakers because, well, lets be honest and go ahead and say they aren't exactly the team that we should wish to meet first. But I'd be happy to meet them in the conference finals!! Also, this is my projected finish: 1. Lakers 2. Denver 3. Spurs 4. Houston 5. Portland 6. Jazz 7. Mavs 8. New Orleans And the three teams I would like to meet in the first round, in order of preference are: 1. New Orleans: They just dont seem to have it going this year. I think that brooks and lowery could tire out Paul in the defensive end and they dont pose a height advantage like the rest 2. Portland: They are young and unexperienced. I think we could definately get in Roy's head by throwing battier and Artest at him at different times 3. Mavs: They don't play any defense. Enough said! 3.
I don't want the easy path to the Finals. I want the dream playoff run. Take the Mavs in the first round, then Spurs, Lakers in the WCF. And finish off by beating the defending champions, Celtics.
No Path to the finals will be easy. But i'm going to say this...the Hornets are nowhere near a contender. ESPN and the Media just say so because of CP3, I personally think they will be the weakest team going into the playoffs WITH Tyson healthy.
I'd say Nuggets, Mavs, and Blazers are my top choices. I would then put the Hornets next. I want no part of the Jazz this year. I understand the whole revenge factor, but I just can't take 3 straight years losing to them. I would rather us face any team but them.
I voted Jazz, but for personal hatred reasons only. The Roy game-winner left a bitter taste in my mouth with Portland, and Denver is proving me wrong over and over. I think i'd have to take the Mavericks.
Gotta hope for Portland or NO, like everyone else has been saying. After that, I'd say Mavs or Nuggets before Jazz again. The thing about the Jazz is that they don't like us either. If we went to play them they'd come out mean against us. I do not want to see Lakers or Spurs in the first round. I think its very important that we do better than 7/8 seed.
