    Okay, Clutchfans population...

If we traded Rox commodities (be it players or picks), X, Y, and Z, and the opposing team's manager all agreed, who would you go for?

    Ron Artest (S&T, obviously)
    Mike Miller
    Jose Calderon
    Someone different

Personally, I would go with Ron Artest. Although he has his problems, his upsides GREATLY pwn his downsides!

He is an upgrade over Battier at both ends, and an upgrade over anyone not named TMac and Yao on the offensive end!

His problems should be decreased in H-Town, because he automatically gets put on a team with two all-stars that already have playoff experience, and are favorites to advance!

    NO WAY!!!

And a lot of you already complain about TMac being "selfish" and "having no heart"

what do you think Artest would be like?
    NO THANKS!

There are literally 40 threads regarding offseason acquisitions etc.
    Is this really necessary?'

And by the way- you posted this thread twice...

is that why artest was publically criticizing his coach for not trying to win games after the AS break? he cares about winning.

I'd be happy if we got anyone of those, but I think Mike Miller would be the most realistic possibility and would help us a lot.

The "Love Affair" could have probably prevented a sweep by the Lakers, had the idiot Nuggets traded for it.

    mike miller.

gives the rockets a formidable team if tmac is on the bench (foul trouble, injury).

the other pieces would continue to fit right in and we'd barely miss a beat.

Maybe I made the "someone else" choice too broad.

There are plenty of other stars the Rockets could bring to this organization.

B-Diddy, CMagg, EBrand, Agent Zero, etc.

The one thing that causes me concern is his 3 point shooting ability. In one of the highlights he has a open outside shot but he decides to drive and dunk which in my opinion shows a lack of confidence in himself. Snyder used to do that too. I know Pietrus is better than him and is a UFA but we need a player who can drive, finish and shoot.

Well, Pietrus does have something big in his favor: he's a realistic aquisition.

I mean yeah, the Artests, Millers, and Calderons are all well and good, but I'm not sure I see us being able to get them in the offseason. We could really use another big guard like Pietrus, since we run with McGrady and a bunch of midgets. And obviously we could use a real backup C.

    You can argue that.

BUT, you can also argue that Pietrus is trying to go for a high percentage shot! Instead of taking a three, he drives in, perhaps faking people out "they shoos," and takes a better shot.

I think the Suns organization might move Nash. I read this somewhere, but I can't remember where.

Why would you want Nash? Compare Nash to Kidd.

Now, imagine Kidd on this team. He would wreck us, offensively.

The only way Nash helps us is with his offense. He has a smooth stroke, which leads me to wonder why he focuses on assists more than points.

Yea, he doesn't play defense, but imagine Nash and YAO!!!! Nash would give Yao so many open looks ;)

WE need Artest, or a guy as hard as Artest because we're freaking too soft.

    Calderon is a younger Nash!

He averaged 8.3 assists per game this season, and his AST/TO is 5.38!

Shawn Marion. That guy is being overlooked now; he's getting no attention being on the Heat, but he can still be an All-Star player on a contending team. With him being overlooked, we can sign him to the MLE.
