I like Butler's game, but he seems to have fallen off a bit. He may not be the best fit right now either. Our weakness is 3-point shooting, Jimmy shoots at 20% this season, 32% for his career. Jimmy is an elite defensive small forward, which we already have 3 of. I'd rather see us upgrade the shooting guard with a shooter, or get a tested stretch 4 that can play D. With the Rockets being 2nd in the West, it's hard to know who would actually make us better without creating a new hole. Also, I don't trust Butler's health.

Nothing but a vet min to come off the bench.

Stop dreaming about getting Butler and dream about getting Anthony Edwards, the TWolves are completely imploding like our 15-16' Rockets team after making the WCF when Dwight demanded more touches.

Anthony Edwards in post-game interview after losing to the Kings in a 4 game losing streak said the chemistry is completely ****ed right now and he doesn't know how to fix it. He said there are people on the team who have their own agendas (of getting paid next off-season). *cough* Randle and Naz Reid

With TWolves having such a clownshow front office, I wouldn't be surprised if the Wolves continue to play like garbage this year after firing the coach and Ant demands out much like KG did in 07'. We will be the in the perfect position to trade for him.

Anthony Edwards is only 23 years old. He'd be a perfect fit in our timeline and is already a proven all-nba player.

Aren't we 14-6 and 2nd in the West right now?

Young dudes are improving and we're being asked to think about trading talents for a dinosaur?
Do we exist to improve the media favourite teams??

Next thing someone will suggest trading 5 of our young 7 dudes plus all our picks for LeBron and Bronny.

This is the worst type of player to go after, someone old and that would cost a lot to even bring over. He was a diva and forced his way out of the last two teams he played for, and Pat Riley was open about the fact hes had it w him, so literally has pissed off 3 different franchises now. Either you trade for a young super star who can shoot, without blowing up your core, or you go after someone that does not cost a ton but can at least shoot the ball well. I would take CP3 as a backup PG over Butler any day. Reed is not ready to be playing real minutes, and we need someone who can actually run PG and shoot.

And you would add said malcontent for Green and picks with us being the 4th best team in the NBA thus far? Not saying you're wrong, but want to see how far you'd go ...

What aging star could be plucked for cheap to get us to the finals this year? Or do you leave the team as is?

My runner up to Butler is Norman Powell, checks all the boxes, but he just can't stay healthy. Thoughts on him over Jimmy instead?

I would have liked CP3 at $10M 1 year, but he is important in his role w the Spurs, kind of like what Fred was to us last year, but probably even better for the young guys to be learning from in SA, so I doubt we could get him from them this year, maybe if he believes we can contend he comes here next year on a vet min. Harden would be nice too, but hes making $35M so not sure how we get that to work especially since the Clippers look decent with him running things. Someone like Quentin Grimes, AR15, Buddy Hield, etc maybe not them specifically but someone on that level, does not have to be a star. I would be asking about Tyler Herro as well.

We have lost 5 close games this year and just went to OT back to back games. It would be nice to have someone who can shoot the ball we can run a play for in crunch time, running a play w Alp at the top of top of the key with time running out should not be our only option.

Ant would be PERFECT for this team. As for Butler, that is a big no for me.
