After 33 games we are 2 1/2 games from 2nd place, 1 game from 3rd place, and we're doing this with 40millions on the bench!!!! How sweet this team is. http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html
Thats awesome! I also think its very sad that had no National coverage games this year, even teams like Clippers vs Sixers get to be on TNT lol when Dallas vs Rockets are more fun to watch.
Exactly, I really don't understand the logic behind Clippers vs Sixers on TNT....who on those teams is worth watching?
Consider we are doing this playing the hardest schedule in the league, imagine when we start the 2nd half of the season and the easiest in the league. Final Record - 50-32 6th in the West
The nba has those "determination" commercials... what they should do is run clips from our red nation, that is determination.
we are also 1 and a half games out of the playoffs. So much parity in the west this season from 2 seed to 9
Going 11-5 in December. I thought they'd break even at best. Evening the season series vs. Dallas after losing the first two games. Amazing.
Daryl Morey thunk it and said it before the season. I also thunk it and said it before the season. This is a playoff team.
That's stupid. I'm sure TNT officials have ability to add and subtract games from their schedule. If I'm correct, I think it was TNT that added a MIL game earlier in the year, just because it was 2 games or something after Jennings scored the 55.
Maybe it was bliss but I honestly thought this team was not going to miss a beat. We learned last year how to play without #3 and I knew we were going to be able to evolve without Yao. Our PF's were good enough to start scoring more and sometimes we get complacent with Yao on the court. Scola, Hayes, and Landry also can get to some loose balls that Yao couldn't, so we were going to get some extra possessions there while giving away less second chance possessions on defense. I thought Trevor was going to fit better in the offense than Ron did. Ron held on the ball too long and took his fair share of late second shots that bricked horribly. Now Trevor just needs to go to the basket a little more but he still isn't as bad as Ron was on the offensive end. And he plays the passing lanes well on defense still. This team was well prepared to deal with injury and these guys are effort players. They are going to play as if it's their last game every night and that wins ball games.
Now, when Yao comes back, I am eager to see how the change of this team will affect Yao (or how Yao will affect the team). Will the team be able to transition back into the "Pass to Yao, see what he does" gameplay, or will the team stick with the "Run 'n' Gun" gameplay? Lots of questions.
