What player in the NBA would be the best fit for the Rockets and make us the most successful?

Is it possible for someone to make us the most successful and not be the best fit? In which case, would it matter? [IMG]

I give an edge to KG over Duncan. The stats are close, but I think KG is a better passer (not just out of the post like Duncan). KG is like Magic and Bird - he makes everyone around him better. If you're open , you will get the ball.

I do NOT think Shaq would work as well because he needs to have the ball to be effective. KG gets his points in the flow of the game (much like Shandon). It is still a team game and Garnet is a team player.

I would take Duncan over KG on the Rockets. KG may be a slightly better passer and ball handler, but overall I would rather have Duncan. The reason you only see Duncan pass out of the post is because he is a post player, where as KG plays from the post and outside. Duncan IMO has better post skills than KG, and also can rebound the ball better. Like you said, the stats are close, but I think Duncan has better moves down low and also a better touch. He is also more physical and also has a much easier time with the big players in the league such as Alonzo Mourning due to his frame. I agree KG and Duncan are both unbelievably good, and I'd be happy with either [IMG], but I'd rather have Duncan if I were the Rockets or almost any other team. I agree with you on Shaq.
